With uninterrupted, postcard-worthy views of Warkworth Castle, just across the road, this elegant home offers an unforgettable Northumberland retreat. Step inside to discover spacious, thoughtfully designed interiors. The ground floor lounge invites relaxation with its original sandstone inglenook fireplace, ambient remote-controlled gas stove and 42" Smart TV with complimentary Netflix. Central heating and unlimited Wi-Fi ensure year-round comfort. The spacious light-filled dining kitchen is the heart of the home, featuring seating for six and charming exposed sandstone walls that echo the history of the property. It’s fully equipped with modern appliances including an electric oven, induction hob, fridge, freezer, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, Tassimo coffee machine (with complimentary starter supply of coffee pods), microwave, kettle, and toaster - everything you need for a relaxing, self-catered stay. Upstairs, two beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms sleep up to four guests: * The master suite bedroom, located at the front of the property, boasts two large windows framing spectacular views of the castle. A cushioned window seat in the oriel window offers the perfect spot to unwind with a book or coffee. This luxurious room includes a super king bed, generous storage, a cosy seating area, and a 55" curved Smart TV with Netflix. The stunning ensuite features a deep freestanding bath, a walk-in drench shower, and elegant shiplap panelling. * The second bedroom, at the rear of the property, offers a serene view over private gardens. With a sumptuous king-size bed and its own ensuite (walk-in drench shower, vanity basin, WC), it’s a peaceful retreat for guests. *Please note: Both are fixed beds and cannot be separated or made into singles. A ground floor WC adds extra convenience. Outside, there is free on-street parking in the residents’ bays directly outside the house (first-come, first-served - but usually readily available). Despite its village location, Oriel House is set back from the road and benefits from acoustic double-glazed windows throughout for added tranquillity. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities. We uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, with enhanced sanitisation protocols in place and a consistent record of five-star "sparkling clean" guest reviews. Please note: Oriel House is a non-smoking property. We are unable to accommodate pets or children under 5 years of age. Whether you’re enjoying a romantic escape, a peaceful getaway with friends and family, or a quiet place to unwind, Oriel House is a truly special place to stay. Guest access There is free on- street parking in resident parking bays outside the house. This is on a first come first serve basis but is usually plentiful. Guests are kindly requested to park considerately to enable local resident parking. There are four bus stops in the village with buses to the North and South, the bus stops are a short walk away (2 minutes) from the house, local taxis companies and the nearest train station is Alnmouth station, 5 miles away. Set in the picturesque coastal village of Warkworth, Oriel House enjoys an exceptional setting within this beautiful village, directly opposite the majestic medieval Warkworth Castle and in walking distance to Warkworth artisan shops, three great cafes and three friendly local pubs, as well as two hotel bars/restaurants. Other things to note The garden to the rear of Oriel House is strictly not for guest use but with the beautiful grassy banks of Warkworth Castle on your doorstep, why not take a bottle over the road and sit at the foot of the majestic medieval castle. Or pack up a picnic and relax on one of the many benches along the River Coquet that loops around the castle. SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY: - There is one threshold step up from the pavement into the property from ‘Castle Terrace’. - There are 2 steps down and a handrail into the second bedroom. - There are 3 steps down from the master bedroom into the master en-suite. Please note there is no hand rail. - The property is not suitable for infants or children under the age of 5 years old. - Strictly non smoking and no pets allowed.
