While stairs are available, The Village at North Pointe does have elevator access for upper floors. The condo does not have stairs on the interior. Is the private hot tub available for my stay? Yes, The Pointe offers a private hot tub available year-round for our guest use and it is serviced and sanitized between each guest stay. Are the pool, hot tub, clubhouse, and fitness centers open for guest use? Yes, the additional complex amenities provided by The Village at North Pointe are open and available for guest use, located at the front entry of the complex. These amenities are maintained and controlled by The Village at North Pointe HOA. Access code information is provided in the check-in details provided 2 weeks (or less) prior to arrival by email and text message . Where is the nearest beach access? While The Pointe features gorgeous oceanfront views from the condo, The Village at North Pointe is located about 3 minutes south of the nearest beach access point at Fogarty Creek Beach and about 20 minutes south of the Lincoln City beaches. We are sure our kitchens will surprise you! What type of coffee maker is provided in the property? The Pointe features a brewed/drip carafe coffee maker and a Keurig machine. Provided coffee and filters are at the discretion of each owner and not guaranteed. Should you have a preferred brew, we recommend bringing it with you. The Village at North Pointe offers on-site complex amenities available for guest use including the pool/hot tub, clubhouse, theater, and gym/fitness. - Pool / Hot Tub: The pool and hot tub are open year-round and available for guest use. The pool is heated and is typically 85 degrees. The spa/hot tub is typically 103 degrees. - Clubhouse: The clubhouse offers a comfortable seating area, free wi-fi, a selection of puzzles, poker tables, and a pool table. - Theater: The theater is on a first-come first-serve basis and guests can bring their own DVDs to watch. Visitors from everywhere come to whale watch either from the new Whale Watch Center, the many shore observation spots or you can take a charter out for a closer look. Depoe Bay has the smallest natural navigable harbor in the world consisting of six square acres. Because of the proximity to the ocean, fishermen or whale watchers can be from dockside to viewing or fishing in a matter of minutes. A huge sea wall runs the length of the downtown area which enables visitors to shop or dine always within view of the ocean. This is the only town on the entire coast with this amenity. Waves run beneath lava beds and build pressure to spout water as high as 60 feet into the air. These are known as spouting horns and are visible during turbulent seas and stormy weather. How do we find the glass floats for Finders Keepers? Anywhere on Lincoln City’s seven miles of beach, from Road’s End to Cutler City. Floats are hidden above the high tide line and below the beach embankment, during daylight hours only and every day, rain or shine. There are approximately 60 floats hidden per week, and on certain weekends and holidays. Finders Keepers is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2019, find special drops every 20th of the month. Where can we view tide pools? Roads End – Some of the best tidepools are near Roads End State Park, a corner of the coast that offers a gorgeous display of intertidal life. From the park, walk a quarter mile north along the beach. This area is mostly flat with stunning views of northern headlands—Cascade Head and The Thumb. NW 15th Street – The most accessible tidepool location in Lincoln City is at the 15th Street beach access. These tidepools are located at the ocean edge, a straight shot from the beach access. There is ample street parking as well as a public parking lot nearby. Parking on the beach within a permitted area is allowed—just keep an eye on ocean conditions before driving down. Fogarty Creek Beach - This state park is one oddball beach, especially on the northern cove end. Some bizarre caves and striking, ancient skeletons embedded in the rocks abound here. Traveling from Portland, take Hwy 99W towards Lincoln City (Oregon Coast), follow signs to the coast and that will put you onto Hwy 18, head toward Lincoln City and that will put you onto Hwy 101 (heading South). Stay on Hwy 101 South through Lincoln City 11 miles to Depoe Bay. Look for the “The Village at North Pointe” sign. (The bike path is on the north side right before the entrance.) Parking is provided within the complex parking lot and along the highway.
