Experience South County's award-winning beaches, amazing restaurants, and everything else the Ocean State has to offer. The E. Reynolds house is an incredibly comfortable and family friendly home located on the edge of the URI campus. With a spacious backyard, billiards room, and multiple living areas, this home has something for everyone. The house is perfect for family reunions, vacation with friends, or campus visits. 10 mins to the beaches. 3 min. ride to bike bath. 25 min to airport. The space This is not just any house... it's a piece of history. Registered on the National Registry of Historic Places, we have taken care to keep as many original details as possible, while modernizing for comfort. Downstairs you will find a kitchen with eating area, formal dining room with huge farmhouse table, living room with gas fireplace, a billiards room, a first floor bedroom with queen size bed, and a full bathroom. Two separate staircases (one for the original "servant's quarters") lead you to the second story where there are two large bedrooms with king size beds, two smaller bedroom with queen size beds, 2 full bathrooms, a laundry room, and den or bonus room. The backyard is enormous and has 4 separate seating areas, a firepit, patio, herb garden, Maple trees, Horse Chestnut trees, Tulip trees, and beautiful gardens. There is lots of space to gather and play yard games or just to sit and relax. Bring your bikes as we are minutes from the bike path, walk around the URI campus, or drive to one of our many breathtaking beaches for some fun in the sun. We are centrally located and just a quick drive to Newport, Narragansett, South Kingstown, Westerly, and Charlestown. Guest access The entire property is yours to enjoy during your stay! Other things to note When first built, this historic home was set overlooking what was Main Street at the time. People would travel up and down the road on horseback or on horse-drawn carriages and this was a popular stopping point on their journey to Newport. Nowadays, the road is still popular and cars have replaced the horse drawn buggies, leading to increased noise. Please be aware, prior to booking, that we are located in the heart of the Kingston village and that this is a lively, busy, and vibrant community (that we wholeheartedly love). There will be noise from cars that pass by...there will be neighbors walking by and saying hi...there will be life happening all around you and this is your opportunity to be a part of that. We hope you love experiencing all of this as much as we do. 🖤 Registration Details RE.00696-STR, expiry date: 2025-10-30
