*NOW OWNED BY LOCAL HOSTS* You will love this renovated and charming cabin located on Lake Jean. Situated in a quiet neighborhood outside of La Grange, enjoy the cabin surrounded by pines with access to the lake. You may fish for perch, crappie, and bass (catch and release). Guests have access to a Jon boat and paddle boats. The outdoor charcoal grill can be used, but guests must bring charcoal. Swimming is NOT recommended in this lake. Our cabin is pet-friendly! The space The cedar cabin is full of character with live edge cedar gable trusses and 2 porches, one overlooking the dock on the beautiful small lake within the Clear Lake Pines community. The lake is stocked with several species for catch and release. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy watching the deer, birds and wildlife in the morning. Or, if you prefer, relax in rocking chairs, or around the custom Texas-shaped table to take in the fresh air. You can also take the Jon boat out to fish. After enjoying the cabin, set out to explore Buescher State Park (15 minutes away) or Bastrop (25 minutes). There are many fun things to explore including the Depot in Winchester, the historic Murphy Steakhouse, or take a trip to Round Top (30 minutes). The starry skies at night will remind you that you can escape the city lights and still be less than 2 hours to both Houston and Austin. And who can resist smores around your personal firepit as you share stories & make family memories! Guest access Guests will have full access to the cabin. Parking is located in front of the cabin and can accommodate up to 5 vehicles. If you're coming for antique week, 3 cars and a trailer. Please note that the cabin is located down a dirt road. Other things to note Accessing the cabin requires the use of cement steps with handrail- please note pictures for further info.
