The space The entire property is yours for your stay. Privacy and exclusivity is what makes Daintree Secrets unique. No other property in the Daintree has it's own private swimming hole and waterfalls- right off the verandah! This open plan, fully furnished house affords views from all rooms of the waterfalls and the rainforest. Bird- watch and spot butterflies from your large cool verandah overlooking the natural swimming hole. A good night's sleep is always important, so we have luxurious king size beds in 2 of the 3 bedrooms for your enjoyment. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook up a storm and we supply basic grocery items. For a fabulous day lounging around the prettiest swimming hole in the Daintree, we have luxury double bean bags, table, ice buckets and plastic drinkware. Set yourself up and enjoy! The best part is you don't have to share it with anyone - it's all yours! Wander around the property and enjoy the various viewing platforms over the creek and the rainforest. Explore up and down the creek and say see if you can spot the shy turtles. You can't miss the jungle perch , there are so many of them. This is the perfect place for nature lovers and with so many varied places to explore, or just relax with a good book, you will find it hard to leave. Please note there is WIFI or mobile phone access at the property. Guest access We are 2 hours drive north of Cairns. The property has a level area for parking, right beside the house. You have access to the entire property during your stay and total privacy. There are several hectares to explore. There are also a couple of beautiful viewing platforms where you can enjoy a quiet vista of the creek, relax with a good book, or roll out your yoga mat and commune with mother earth. Other things to note There are cafes and restaurants throughout the Daintree, but if your stay is more than 2 nights, we would suggest getting some supplies from Mossman on your way through and self- catering for some of your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and you won't find a more scenic spot for a barbeque! There is no power grid north of the Daintree River and most properties run generators. Daintree Secrets is powered by hydro-electricity and solar power which is much more fitting in the heart of the oldest rainforest in the world! Please understand that this means no high energy consumption items such as hair dryers are to be used.
