We provide very good directions which you need to download from the Airbnb Itinerary once you have booked. On these directions it explains where the keys will be & step by step on how to get to the accommodation. Once you arrive, you just let yourself in & start to enjoy your holiday. Plus, you will find further details about places to go, beach maps plus a taverna guide. You may meet the caretaker, Gabi with the cleaners when they come for the changing of the linen. The pool man maintains the pool regularly. A laid back seaside village with a gently shelving sand and pebble beach, known for its excellent choice of fish tavernas. The village settles into the bottom of a wide south facing valley that runs down to the coast, where fertile fields yield a variety of fruit and vegetables. Interspersed are a scattering of private Villas and houses. A quiet resort in the evening the main entertainment is wandering the beachside road, selecting which of the half dozen tavernas to eat at. Unsurprisingly for a fishing village, they all serve the freshest of fish as well as a choice of other delicacies. There are a couple of rather smart cocktail bars open for coffee in the morning and pre and post meal drinks. There's also a couple of gift shops and a bakery where the syrupy pastries and other delights are wicked temptations when just calling in for fresh bread or a cheese pie. Around the bay a quieter shingle and sand beach is furnished with some sunbeds and umbrellas and if you take the path over the rocks and around the headland you arrive at a beautiful sandy beach with shallow calm water (or 5 mins by car via the top road) ideal for children and with small groups of sunbeds close to facilities. The extreme ends of the beaches are sufficiently private to acquire an all over sun tan. Skala, with its many choice of shops and tavernas, interspersed by some more sophisticated restaurants and bars is an easy 10 min drive away, but it's really more excting to take the regular bus boat which takes 10 minutes to round the headland and drop you off at the beach and there's a chance of spotting dolphins on the way. The long beach from Ratzakli to Mounda is a nesting ground for the protected loggerhead turtles and there is an enthusiastic conservation group in Katelios Village who are keen to share their knowledge at regular informative talks about the life of a turtle and their conservation work. There is a spa hut at the font of the villa for the use of which there is a local charge of €40 for 3 hours use of the 6 seater whirlpool (heating optional) and €20 for 3 hours for use of the sauna.
