Welcome to the famous Point Au Roche Lodge! At the heart of Point Au Roche State Park, this elegant and enormous log cabin is a luxurious escape into nature. The lodge is great for weddings, events and family getaways. It offers 11 bedrooms, each with its own full bath, 5 of which include a jacuzzi tub and fireplace, as well as a screened in gazebo, kitchen, office, and dining. Midge. Our Bedrooms; The lodge features 11 unique and inviting rooms for your stay. The Flower Room features an in-room jacuzzi tub and fireplace, as well as a private deck with Adirondack chairs. This is a corner room with lots of windows, letting the outdoors, nature and morning sunrise shine in. A four poster queen size bed accents the center of the room, perfectly positioned next to the fireplace. The private bath offers dual sinks, a large walk in shower, toilet and bidet. The Planter, located on the second floor, is the most richly colored room. The space is decorated with elegant burgundy walls, vaulted ceilings, and brick and marble accents on the fireplace, and an in-room jacuzzi really enhance the lush environment. The four-poster, carved, wood queen size bed completes this room perfectly. This corner room offers more windows for viewing the park setting outside and has a deck with Adirondack chairs overlooking the front yard into the park. The private bath features a large walk in shower, dual sinks, toilet and bidet. The Weaver room, located on the first floor, is a south-of-the-border flavored room with a king size bed and hardwood floors. This room features a jacuzzi tub and a cozy corner fireplace. The Weaver is overflowing with soul-warming Mexican flair. Enjoy sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the private deck right outside your room overlooking the front yard into the park. The private bath has dual sinks, stand up shower, toilet and bidet. The Spinnaker Room is located on the second floor and is a tribute to Lake Champlain with its nautical theme. Enjoy sitting out on the balcony outside the room with Adirondack chairs overlooking the front yard into the park, or relax in the corner jacuzzi tub with the three sided fireplace next to it. The four- poster queen size bed is reminiscent of a picket fence. The private bath features dual sinks, a large walk in shower, toilet and bidet. Nestled upstairs in a sunny corner of the lodge, the Gardener Room is decorated with shades of green. A queen-sized four-poster wooden bed fits perfectly in this tranquil room. The balcony located directly off the room provides chairs for enjoying a lovely view overlooking the meadow and forest. It’s a nice place to sit and watch the birds or the sun set. The private bath offers a shower/tub combo, pedestal sink and toilet. The Quilter Room, located on the second floor, features a wrought iron king size bed, offers a balcony overlooking the meadow and forest. Relax on the garden chairs outside your room to soak up nature, enjoy a glass of wine or just read a good book. The private bath has a stand alone shower, pedestal sink and toilet. The Hunter Room, located on the first floor, gives you a warm Adirondack feel, from the barn color queen sized bed and hardwood floors, to the snowshoes and antiquated wooden skis hanging on the walls. The Hunter room offers a private deck with Adirondack chairs. The private bath features a tub/shower combination, pedestal sink and toilet. The Angler Room is a tribute to the fishermen. With log walls and birch-bark curtain rods, you feel like you’re tucked away in your own little log cabin. This room has many windows with views of the meadows and forest. Handicap accessible, the Angler is on the first floor and has the option of the bed being two twin beds or made into a king size bed if desired. The private bath offers a walk in shower, pedestal sink and toilet. *Please specify on your reservation if you would like the bed made into a king size or two twin beds. Our Great Room; At the heart of the lodge, the Great Room features a massive raw stone fireplace and enough cozy seating for the whole family. With sky high ceilings, exposed cedar beams, and massive windows looking out on the State Park across the street, the moment you step inside you feel both enchanted and at home. Our Kitchen; Sunny and spacious, our professional chef-style kitchen features a butcher block island, commercial grade Viking stove, and stainless steel appliances. We include a coffee maker, microwave, two large refrigerators, toaster, dishware and silverware for your convenience. Our Gazebo; Tucked beside the lodge is a large gazebo providing a natural enclosed space full of fresh air. Perfect for game nights, outdoor meals, and a beautiful space to play or do yoga outside on a rainy day. Our Backyard; The back of the lodge opens up on a picturesque meadow with wild flowers and walking trails. Bird feeders fill the backyard space so that guests can enjoy watching our local wildlife as the unwind on the back porch. Guest access The Point Au Roche Lodge is surrounded on 3 sides by Point Au Roche State Park. The Park, located on Lake Champlain, offers 12 miles of trails, a sandy beach and picnic area. Lake Champlain less than a mile walk from the Lodge. Plattsburgh is located on Lake Champlain in the northeast part of New York State about 20 miles south the Canadian Border of Quebec. Plattsburgh is rich in history and hosts the Revolutionary War’s Battle of Valcour Island and the War of 1812’s Battle of Plattsburgh every September. Other things to note Local Attractions; Point Au Roche State Park – Located directly across the street from the lodge, the park offers 12 miles of trails with views of Lake Champlain. The lake is less than a mile walk from the lodge. There is also a sandy beach and boat launch within the park. Ausable Chasm - Open to the public since 1870, this is one of the oldest attractions in North America. Explore the Chasm on nature trails with scenic vistas and waterfalls. Add rappelling, rafting or tubing in the Chasm for the perfect adventure. Rentals are available at the Chasm. Some fun events include lantern tours, gemstone mining and now since they are open year round, take a wonderful winter tour to see frozen waterfalls and 150 ft icicles. They also offer a winter waterfall walk, snowshoes and ice cleat tours. Adirondack River Rentals Kayak - Paddle board & mountain bike rentals. Rentals are from 1/2 day to a week. 3004 U.S. Rte 9 Baggs Landing. Lake Champlain Fishing - Lake Champlain is 120 miles long, ten miles wide and approx. 390 plus feet deep. Fishing occurs along the scenic New York shores of Lake Champlain. The western shore offers the breathtaking Adirondack Mountains and extraordinary sunsets. To the east, the Vermont Green Mountains provide us with gorgeous sunrises.
