Plas Newydd is a stunning 18thC stone house with a swimming pool on the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula, famous for its beaches, water sports and wildlife With a choice of seven bedrooms in the main house and annexe, with king-size beds in all double rooms, there’s space for up to 16. And the main kitchen with its cosy inglenook Aga and farmhouse table is a fantastic place for gatherings A small brook trickles through stunning enclosed gardens with several seating areas – including a secret hideaway! The space Plas Newydd is a fabulous rural retreat with a gorgeous heated swimming pool on the Llŷn Peninsula – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty famous for sparkling seas, sandy beaches and rugged coastlines. The swimming pool is open from 4th of April until 31st of October and is heated to 25C The Hot Tub is available all year round! With seven bedrooms, two kitchens and three bathrooms in the main building and annexe plus a downstairs cloakroom, there’s space for up to 16 guests. The original features, chilled décor and stunning gardens make Plas Newydd a luxury haven. Its cosy heart is the living room in the main house with its large wood- burning stove set into an inglenook and lovely garden views. With two leather sofas and an armchair it’s the ideal place to relax, whatever the time of year! The annexe living room is bright and spacious with exposed beams, a three-seater leather sofa, two-seater sofa and an armchair plus spectacular views of the garden: doors open onto the large outdoor seating and dining area complete with parasol and barbecue. There are two TVs and DVD, both Roku, free Wifi, books and games. And the quirky study in the annexe with its large writing desk makes an ideal workspace. The hand built reclaimed wooden kitchen features an Aga set into a large inglenook fireplace and a central farmhouse table, seating 12. Next door is the second kitchen with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, sink, fridge, freezer and plentiful storage. This leads into the utility room, which has a washing machine, tumble dryer and WC. Kitchen equipment includes a microwave and food mixer. Five bedrooms are located in the main house, including one ground-floor twin- bedded room, and a further two bedrooms are on the first floor of the annexe. The three double rooms all have king-size beds. Main house bedrooms The gorgeous master bedroom has original oak beams, a king-size bed, a comfy sofa, wardrobe, two chests of drawers and en-suite WC. The spacious double bedroom has a king-size bed, original fireplace, wardrobe, chest of drawers and lovely views of the front garden. The bunk room has two bunk beds, a chest of drawers and garden views. The charming final bedroom has a double bed, fitted bookshelves, a chest of drawers and overlooks the garden. The twin bedroom on the ground floor has twin beds, an original fireplace, wardrobe, chest of drawers and lovely views over the front garden. Annexe bedrooms The double bedroom has a king-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and beautiful garden views. The twin bedroom has twin single beds, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and overlooks the gently bubbling stream. The main family bathroom on the first floor of the main house includes a freestanding roll-top bath with a hand-held shower, a Victorian-style WC and basin. The main house shower room, also on the first floor, has a walk-in shower and wash basin. The annexe bathroom has a bath with a shower over and a wash basin, WC and plenty storage space. There’s a downstairs cloakroom with WC in the main house. Plas Newydd’s idyllic rural setting and fully-enclosed gardens with manicured lawns, the brook trickling through, make it ideal for relaxing and recharging. There’s a choice of outdoor seating: The stunning heated swimming pool is set into a large patio featuring a spacious seating area with rattan sofas and glass-topped table plus sun loungers. The pool is heated from the Easter holidays to October. The patio seating area with a fire pit, dining table, chairs and a parasol overlooks well-tended lawns and shrubberies: perfect for al fresco dining. To the front of the property you’ll find a two-seater sofa with a coffee table overlooking the front garden – a secluded spot where you can escape and relax – and there’s a secret garden hideaway to discover! You’ll find a Weber barbecue so you can cook al fresco. Abersoch. The Llŷn Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enjoys some of the best scenery in Wales, from amazing sea stacks to Iron Age hill forts, laid-back sandy beaches, wild stretches of coast and heritage sites: heaven for walkers with the North Wales Coast Path as well as cyclists, surfers, wakeboarders and sailors! Boat trips are available for fishing or a trip around the end of the peninsula. Aberdaron – beautiful large sandy beach with National Trust car park, shops including Spar, cafes and an award-winning ice cream shop, 3.6 miles, 9 min Porthor beach – gorgeous beach with whistling sands and glistening sea, National Trust, 5.7 miles, 15 min Abersoch – stunning beaches, harbour, sailing, cool shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, 9.3 miles, 21 min. High surf beaches just around the corner at Porth Ceiri and Porth Neigwl, aka Hell’s Mouth! Bardsey Island – ancient pilgrimage site, wildlife haven. Boat trips usually allow for a 3-4 hour visit, time to visit all the key sites and landmarks. Criccieth Castle – 22 miles, 41 min Caernarfon Castle – World Heritage site, 31 miles, 52 min Dramatic Snowdonia is within driving distance – the Llanberis path, a popular starting point for Mount Snowdon, is 38 miles, an hour’s drive. We cannot tell you when the gardener will arrive but they must have access on arrival, an important condition of your stay at Plas Newydd. They must be allowed to perform their job maintaining the large, mature, and beautiful natural garden. Hot Tub IMPORTANT: If you notice that the water in the hot tub becomes discoloured in any way you must:- 1. Immediately stop using the hot tub 2. Inform the Travel Fox in order that a technician can attend. The Hot Tub Preparation for each booking means it might not be at full temperature on your check in day if we had previous guests stay! Shower first: Wash your body with soap and water before entering to remove lotions, perfumes, and other residues that can affect water quality. Stay hydrated: Avoid alcohol, heavy meals, or exercise right before use, as the heat can affect your heart rate and the effects of alcohol can be intensified. Keep your head above water: Never submerge your head. Long hair should be tied back. Don't use alone: It is safer to use a hot tub with someone else. Children must be supervised at all times. Limit time: Stay in for a maximum of 15-20 minutes per session to prevent overheating. Strictly no glass allowed while using the hot tub please. Please do not drink Alcohol while in the hot tub Please do not allow hot tub temperatures to exceed 40℃ (lower if children will be using the hot tub) Please keep the lid on when not in use, it ensures nothing falls in Please never leave non-swimmers / children unattended in a hot tub Please do not overload the hot tub with more people than its recommended size Safety precautions Keep out of reach of children: Children under a certain age (often 8) are not allowed in, and those between 8 and 17 must be supervised by an adult. Don't sit on the cover: The hot tub cover is not designed to hold weight and can break. No glass or sharp objects: Use plastic or provided non-glass drinkware to avoid broken glass, which is a serious hazard. No food: Do not eat or bring food into the hot tub. No jewellery: Remove all jewellery before entering as it can become tarnished or cause damage. No electrical devices: Do not use any electrical appliances near or in the hot tub. Health considerations Consult a doctor: If you are pregnant, elderly, or have any chronic health conditions like heart disease, diabetes, or high/low blood pressure, seek medical advice before use. Don't use if ill: Do not use the hot tub if you have had diarrhoea in the past 14 days or have an infectious skin condition.
