Solent Cottage is a historical Victorian-era coastal property which has been substantially renovated to modern standards. As well as fantastic sea views from one side, and gorgeous views of the neighbouring nature reserve from the other, guests will enjoy the lovely period feature such as original Victorian flooring, and the wood burning stove, as well as the modern fully-equipped kitchen. The space In such a fabulous location, it's all about the outside. There are three outside spaces to enjoy: the rear (woodland facing) garden is perfect for morning and early afternoon sun, a great space for al-fresco breakfast and for lunch. In the evening the sun appears at the other (sea-facing) garden, which is ideal for BBQs, or just enjoying a glass of wine as the yachts sail by and the sun goes down. And that second garden opens out to a very large green or third garden, where wild rabbits roam in the morning and kids play in the afternoon. Both the living room and the master bedroom have amazing and direct views over the Solent, and it's especially lovely to wake up to the fresh air, open the curtains and imbibe the stillness and tranquility of the morning sea. The two smaller bedrooms overlook the gardens and woodland nature reserve to the rear. The area feels safe, secluded, but also friendly. Guest access There is a dedicated off-road parking spot for Solent Cottage in the cottage car park next door, and if you are bringing more than one car, free parking at Fort Victoria a couple of minutes away. There is plenty of walking or cycling around the area - there are cafes and restaurants on the doorstep, shopping and pubs a short 15 minute walk along the coast to Yarmouth, and a bus stop which connects you to the island bus network at the end of the road (Westhill Lane). Other things to note Although the maximum occupancy is 4, we will accept 5 under some circumstances. Bedroom 2 can be made up as a twin if needed.
