36 Acre Hideaway, Hunter Valley

Our 36-acre property features a charming 5-bedroom family cottage, nestled amongst hardwood forests with stunning rural views, yet only minutes from local shops and the world-renowned Hunter Valley wineries. Located in Branxton, in the heart of the picturesque Hunter Valley, we are under 2 hours’ drive from the Sydney CBD, just off the new Hunter Expressway, and 45 minutes from Newcastle. The space A 600m winding gravel driveway leads you past the old cattle yards, into the property providing ultimate privacy from suburban traffic. There are 4 large living areas including a lounge room that offers a cosy wood fire, a TV lounge, a large dining room, a deck, and an enclosed outdoor room. The extensive property provides a quiet and serene space for you to relax and unwind. Sit by the fire pit, toast marshmallows, and enjoy the views across the valley and local wildlife. Firewood is provided from May to August. There is plenty of kindling on the property. Watch the horses gallop around the paddocks, soaring native birds and kangaroos hop across the pastures. A cubby house, climbing ropes (treetop style), and swings provide outdoor activity for the younger adventurers. There is plenty of space to ride a bike if you want to bring one along. An old Army shed, farm shed, old cattle yards, stables, and three dams add more character to your views. As this is a working farm, guests are not allowed access to these areas. There will be horse riders at the property who have access to the paddocks and use the shared driveway as we provide agistment. The cottage accommodates up to 10 guests (including children and infants). The daily rate is for 4 people with additional costs per person. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Nespresso coffee machine and capsules, a dishwasher, a free-standing stove and oven, a microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans to prepare your masterpieces. The kitchen also includes basic essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, oils, salt, and pepper. There are 5 bedrooms : 1 room has 1x king bed, 1 room has 2x single beds, 1 room has 1x double bed, 2 rooms have a queen bed each. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, brand new beds, electric blankets, and pillows for your comfort. The bathroom has a tub, walk-in shower, and washbasin. There is a separate toilet. The four living areas provide ample choice to enjoy the books, cards, board games, and puzzles provided for your entertainment. All linen, towels, and bathroom amenities are provided. The house is professionally cleaned & sanitised. There is a gas BBQ in the Outdoor Room. Free Wi-fi is available. STRICTLY NO PARTIES OR GATHERINGS. Only the number of guests registered for the visit may use the house and its amenities. Additional guests must be paid for on arrival or you may be asked to leave the premises. There are security cameras at the property to monitor guest numbers and the use of facilities. If air conditioners, lights, and fans are not turned off on departure extra charges apply (Minimum $50). A carport sits adjacent to the house, providing undercover parking for 2-3 cars (depending on their size). There are four dams on the property that are not fenced so all children need to be supervised when outside the cottage. Guest access There is plenty of parking on site. A car port adjacent to the house provides cover for 2-4 cars depending on their size. Other things to note Guests have exclusive use of the cottage, fenced yard and firepit. You will not have access to the sheds, hut or stables. There are horses agisted in the paddocks and their owners have access to the paddocks via the shared driveway.
