Historic, Thatched Annexe at Christophers

The Annexe at Christophers is part of a beautiful thatched Grade II listed cottage wiin the picturesque village of East Budleigh, the birthplace of Sir Walter Rayleigh. The village is an oasis of calm away from the busy tourist areas of Devon yet within 2 mins drive of the beautiful south Devon coast at Budleigh Salterton, sandwiched between the bustling seaside towns of Sidmouth and Exmouth. Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast is a short drive. The historic city of Exeter is a 30 min drive away The space With it's own entrance, parking and garden, the annexe offers a luxurious home away home and is part of a 1500's traditional cob long house. Our aim is to preserve the historic nature of the house coupled with modern luxuries. The upstairs bedroom has a beautiful four poster bed, deep free standing bath and separate shower and WC. Downstairs, the lounge has a stunning fireplace with a gas log effect fire, 2 sofas, one of which can be converted into a sofa bed on request (but currently unavailable), cosy window seats and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, filtered water tap and Tassimo coffee machine. The annexe has its own garden with table and chairs, as well as a charcoal BBQ and chimea for you to enjoy as weather permits. There are many beautiful walks including the river that is home to a varied wildlife community ( including beavers and otters) .
