Water-ski, swim, boat, and fish in the pristine, spring-fed waters of the 310-acre Bear Lake beside this expansive home. Canoe and paddle boards provided! Enjoy the sunset from the swing on the boat dock, watch the sunrise from the screened deck while lounging in the hammock, or spend a lazy afternoon with the family playing board games. The rental is the private half of a duplex, completely separated from the owner's side, with no shared areas. (2 kings, 2 queens, 3.5 baths) The space Our home rests on the beach of Bear Lake - a 310 acre skiable lake that, because it is spring-fed, is considered one of Florida's cleanest lakes (also - no alligators!). Here, you will be treated to a beautiful and comfortable modern home with everything you need for an exciting or a relaxing stay. We have a canoe and paddle boards available free for your use (at your own risk). Or, for the more adventurous, if you'd like to water-ski, inner-tube, or just spend the day on the water, we can put you in touch with a power boat and/or jet-ski rental company. Enjoy the best views of the sunset (and the sunrise) from the swing on the boat dock or from the hammock and lounge chairs on the screen-enclosed deck. The professional BBQ grill can handle even the biggest cook-outs while you enjoy music from the portable water-proof stereo for tunes by the lake. Your side of the duplex is completely separate from the owner's apartment and each space has its own private entrance. The first floor includes a newly remodeled, fully-equipped kitchen, a living room with large TV, a primary suite (with king-size bed and its own bathroom) and an additional half-bath off the living room. The kitchen also contains a dining table that can seat up to 10 as well as a bar overlooking the water with bar-stools for additional seating. Just outside the glass doors from the kitchen, there is a HUGE screened-in deck with an additional outdoor dining area that can seat 8 or more (additional folding chairs are available, upon request). This deck, on the back of the house, overlooks the lake and connects to a raised walkway that leads to the water's edge, the boat dock, and the bench swing. The second floor offers a second ensuite (with another king size bed and private bathroom) plus an additional two bedrooms with queen size beds. A third bathroom and laundry facilities are off the hall on the second floor, as well as a second living room with another TV and two couches that convert into double-beds, if needed. The upstairs balcony runs the entire length of the house and is also screened-in to allow for bug-free relaxation or gathering at the table - perfect for family game-nights or an early morning coffee. Guest access The guest side is reserved for visitors only. Our guests also have direct access to the deck, lake, and boat-dock. The garage and owner's apartment are not accessible to guests. We live in the owner's apartment but have a separate private entrance and do not share any of the living areas with guests. Other things to note We are located away from the noise of the city, but within a 3-mile radius of a variety of shopping, eating, and entertainment venues: For the shoppers, we have: Costco, Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, and TJ Maxx. The Altamonte Mall and Winter Park Village are just a couple of miles further down the road (not to mention the Factory Outlet malls...) There is no lack of food options around us. Everything from Starbucks and Panera, to gourmet Japanese sushi and hand-crafted BBQ. There are four movie theaters within 5 miles of our home, and the Wekiwa Springs State Park is only 6 miles away. All of the major theme parks (Disneyworld, Universal Studios, and Sea World) and both international airports are accessible in about 25 - 45 minutes via the interstate or the near-by toll roads (which are much less crowded). Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa Beach, and the Kennedy Space Center are all less than an hour's drive away.
