Description

Atop a small knoll, in the heights of the Ozark mountains, right off of the beautiful Hwy 21 scenic byway, sits the sweet little piece of Heaven on earth that we call the Bee Hive. The Bee Hive is a brand new cabin that offers everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing and memorable stay. It has most, if not all the amenities that you would have at home, so all you would would need to bring is food/drink and yourselves! Relax with the whole family! SXS's available for rent locally! The space The entire house, yard, and 3 acres. The laundry area is also available. Guest access Everything listed is accessible. Other things to note The Historic Oark Cafe, The Burger Barn, Haw Creek Falls, The Glory Hole, the scenic Pig Trail, Byrds Adventure Center, Mount Magazine, Petite Jean Mountain, Mount Nebo, Mulberry River, High Bank Twin Falls, Ozark Highland Trails, Hawksbill Crag, Natural Bridge, and many other popular destinations are just a short drive away. Johnson County is a dry county, so feel free to bring any beverages of choice you may have on your way in. The closest place for beer and liquor is Altus AR. Smoking is only allowed outdoors. Cell phone signals are typically good in this space. Verizon works better than AT&T but all work for the most part. Wi-Fi Calling is permitted and encouraged. Or turn your phone off- and just enjoy. Conveniently located less than 1 mile off scenic Hwy in Ozone Arkansas, the cabin is 15 miles or 20 minutes north of Clarksville, Arkansas. This is a great base spot for any vacation simply because of proximity. You are 2 hours south of Branson, and 2 hours North of Hot Springs, so day trips are a breeze. You are 2 hours from both the Little Rock (LIT) and Northwest Arkansas Fayetteville/Bentonville (XNA) Airports. Here you are 10 miles from Lake Ludwig and its 2 public swimming beaches, awesome fishing and new RED LICK MTN BIKE TRAIL SYSTEM. Enjoy a lap around the lake loop on your mountain Bike with the family or tear up the slopes with trails ranked from bunny/beginner to double black diamond. If fishing is your vice, you’ll find world class Crappie, Small and Large Mouth and Catfish in the Arkansas River, Lake Ludwig, Lake Dardanelle, The Mulberry River, Little Piney Creek, Big Piney Creek, and Piney Bay, -ALL within a half hour of your door. There are many stocked ponds scattered throughout the national forest as well, so bring your pole with you as you explore. Kayaking and Rafting are world Class in Arkansas in the wet Spring months, or on rainy weeks, and Ozone has amazing proximity there as well. We sit on the ridge here, so any watershed can be accessed by just picking any direction. The Mulberry River has amazing flow from Oark and Wolfpen to Byrds located just to our west. Little Piney to our South and Big Piney to our east have more fall than most any other rafting destination floats in Arkansas. The White River has the most legendary trout fishing in the world, and it is a beautiful 2-hour drive to the northeast. But the Best Float in between the Rockies and Appalachia is hands down the Buffalo River -45 minutes (37.5 miles to Ponca) straight to our North from the cabin door. You cannot lose from this spot because the water is amazing in every direction. We highly recommend downloading RiverApp to monitor float levels and rainfall to best plan your trip. Don’t forget to bring a camera (and a dry bag). The Boston Mountains segment of the Ozark highlands trail is just 4 miles (5 Minutes!) from the door of the cabin. With over 270 miles from Fort Smith to Missouri, the trail offers unparalleled scenic hiking year-round right at your doorstep. SXS and ATV trails are mere minutes from your front door here as well. Ozone is most famous for its offroad trails and scenic waterfalls. It is easy to do 50, -80, -even 100 miles in a day right here from the cabin on a SXS or ATV, just park your trailer, and unload. Many apps are available to help you navigate the trails here locally, but if you want some suggestions, just ask. We love guests on our trails here, we only ask that you are respectful to the people and the land by picking up any trash you take in with you. We like to keep Arkansas Beautiful. SXS rental is available through Ozark Ridge Campground just 5 miles away if you can’t bring your own. Finally, THE FOOD- Clarksville has a Walmart and a Harps grocery if you intend to top off supplies to cook. We have a new electric stove and microwave with all the utensils needed to prepare any meal. The last chance for Gas is the Red Lick Store 8 miles south on Hwy 21. They have awesome pulled pork there as well. The restaurants in Clarksville will knock your socks off, especially for a small town. The Wrecked Canoe has daily specials and great burgers and steaks. Crosswoods has amazing steaks and a large dining room. If you don’t want to go to the big town, try Oark, 25 minutes away you have an amazing Oark Mountain View Bistro there, as well as the oldest continually operating General Store @ the Oark General store. Do not forget to try the pies there either, or take one to go yummm. Or if don’t want to get out, and you don’t want to cook either- the Burger Barn is just a couple miles away. They pride ourselves in having the best hand-made burgers in the area. Typically open Tuesday through Sunday 11-7 (weather permitting). The Historic Oark Cafe, the Burger Barn, Haw Creek Falls, The Glory Hole, the scenic Pig Trail, Byrds Adventure Center, Mount Magazine, Petite Jean Mountain, Mount Nebo, Mulberry River, High Bank Twin Falls, Ozark Highland Trails, Hawksbill Crag, Natural Bridge, and many other popular destinations are just a short drive away.
