The space Life at Wine Lodge - Wine Lodge is a rustic, open-air lakeside stay on the shores of Lake Hambegamuwa, surrounded by 15 acres of forest. Built with recycled wine bottles, reclaimed timber, doors and windows, it’s a simple stay with plenty of character. There’s no resort schedule here. Days are for nature, fresh food, quiet conversations and slowing down. As evening falls, lanterns light the lodge while the sounds of the forest take over. Eat Local - Freshly prepared Sri Lankan meals made with local ingredients and traditional flavours. Banyan follows a meat-free policy — no meat is served or permitted on the property. Guest access Guests have access to Banyan Camp's shared lounge and dining areas, gardens, and lakeside surroundings, plus the wider 15-acre property. Other things to note This is an off-grid stay, designed for guests who want to be close to nature: • No Wi-Fi • No air-conditioning • No hot water • Meat is not served or permitted on the property • Wildlife and insect sounds are part of the experience, especially at night • Mobile coverage may be available but can be limited. Accommodation is on a Full Board basis. Coffee and king coconut (thambili) are available at an extra charge.
