Peacefully situated just off, but within easy reach of, the main tourist trails it’s the ideal starting point to explore all that the Cotswolds have to offer from glorious walks, the network of quaint villages (Bibury, Eastleach) to trout farms and country pubs. Enjoy far-reaching views, from every bedroom, across a sweeping meadow to the river Coln and unspoiled countryside beyond. The space Buttercup Cottage is discreetly tucked away from the main thoroughfare of the village. It is an imposing 3-story building constructed of honey-coloured Cotswold stone under a slate tiled roof and was recently re-furbished to a high standard. It provides light, spacious and generous accommodation, with far-reaching, uninterrupted views, from every bedroom, across a sweeping meadow to the river Coln and the undulating unspoiled countryside beyond. The cottage is approached by a large gravel driveway with parking for up to 3 cars, and a small gate leads into a private garden, complete with small lawn, a garden bench and a generous stone patio area with a large outdoor table, a parasol, chairs (seats 6) and a barbecue, for outside entertaining. This handsome, quintessentially English village home is arranged over 3 floors. The ground floor provides comfortable open-plan living which has been tastefully and lovingly furnished with both antique and modern touches; there’s a fully-equipped modern kitchen, a rustic dining table with bench seating, (which amply seats 6/8) and a cosy lounge area, complete with wood burner, for cosy nights in. There is also a useful pantry/laundry room and central heating throughout. The 2 upper floors offer 3 equal-sized double bedrooms (2 king size and 2 single beds) which sleeps up to 6 guests. A a fourth, which is currently appointed as a comfortable TV room/library/study, has a trundle bed for 2 additional children if needed. Also on the 1st floor there is a full sized family bathroom/WC and a further shower room/WC is located on the top floor.
