We are delighted to offer one of the most unique accommodations in Croatia, in the abandoned eco-ethno village of Humac. Villa dates back to 1880, and it was completely renovated in 2020. The estate consists of a traditional Mediterranean stone house of 160 m2 and a unique garden of 3000m2 fields of lavender and immortelle that provides complete privacy and peace. g This is a fully equipped 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms villa with a large terrace with hot tub and amazing sunset views The space Villa is located 10 km east of Jelsa, at the entrance to the eco-ethno village Humac and it takes only 10 minutes by car to Jelsa. The beautiful beaches on the north side of the island are also 10 minutes away by car. Villa has a fully equipped kitchen with all electrical devices and equipment, living room with a big sofa and fireplace, LCD TV with Netflix, table for 8, WIFI Internet, 4 rooms each with air conditioning and its own private bathroom, linens and towels. On the ground floor are two rooms with king-size double beds and a private bathroom with a shower. On the first floor are two more rooms also with a king-size double bed and private bathroom with a bathtub. From the ground floor, you come to a spacious terrace with a lavender garden. Next to it is a small garden with seasonal vegetables where you can always pick up a fresh and organic product. The terrace has a hot tub, deck chairs, shower, one more toilet with shower, dining table, fireplace and offers a divine panoramic view of Hvar, Brač, the Riviera of Makarska and glittering sea that completes this storybook image. This house is in a very, very quiet area, without traffic on the road because the village is non inhabited. There is only a restaurant 100 meters away. Also, you have a large area around the house where your children can be left alone to play in the shade of pine trees while you enjoy your well-deserved rest. From the yard, you will be able to enjoy a beautiful view and sunset, facing island Brač and Zečevo, Vrboska, Jelsa and Stari Grad bay. You have a parking place in the pine shade in front of the house. From Humac we can organize your visits to the nearby Grapčeva špilja (Grapčeva cave), one of the most important prehistoric sites on the Mediterranean with the findings from 4 000 B.C ABOUT VILLAGE HUMAC A unique example of well-preserved rural architecture, formerly a pastoral village, Humac originated in the 17th century. At the height of 350 m above sea level, you have a magnificent panoramic view of all the surrounding places, coves, the island of Brač and Makarska’s coast. The charm of this village lies in its harmonious stone houses, courtyards, balconies, narrow streets and nature, which all give an inspiring sight. Humac is a very old village where man has been living for centuries. There are many simple houses made of stone in its surroundings called trim, built without binder in a way that they become narrower towards the top. Many of them have their original foundations from early Stone Age. Inhabitants of Humac have been occupied with cattle and wine growing for thousands years, and in around 1950 they started growing lavender. In the last few centuries, people didn't live in Humac, but spent time in Humac during major agrarian works.
