Rockledge is the culmination of years of careful planning and design by the owners who have been visiting the Midcoast area for years. This stunning Maine getaway leaves little, if anything, to be desired with striking architecture, thoughtful design, and tasteful décor. In short, no detail has been missed at this magnificent waterfront home. A perfect way to spend your summer in Maine.

Built by a well-established lobstering family in Tenants Harbor, the owners purchased the property several years ago and completely renovated the main using the services of local architectural designer Marcel Valliere and renowned area contractors. The result is a breathtaking union of high-end finishes and classic, summer “cottage” styling.

The home is situated with an eye to the ever-changing ocean view – virtually every room in the house has a water view and the wraparound deck at the front of the house, sits just 75 feet from the ocean and overlooks a thoughtfully landscaped lawn, gently sloping to Rockledge’s 240 feet of private waterfront.

The outdoor space offers coastal living at its best with lawn and deck furniture, Weber six-burner stainless gas grill, a picnic table, and a granite firepit stocked with firewood. The main house is open and bright with a living/dining area adjacent to a large fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has all stainless appliances including a Viking gas range, dual wall ovens, and a warming drawer centered around an eat-in island. The dining area can seat up to six comfortably on one table and four more at an adjacent table.

The living room, which has sliding doors to the deck, has vaulted ceilings, a gorgeous locally sourced granite fireplace, and a 42” flatscreen television with satellite TV as well as a Bose sound system. The first floor also has a half bathroom with a set of full-sized washer and dryers for guest use.

The upstairs primary suite is private and situated on the opposite side of the house from the other two bedrooms. The primary, like all of the bedrooms, has a wall-mounted air conditioner, a king-size bed, a 26” flatscreen television with satellite TV, and ocean views. The private bathroom has a custom walk-in shower. The remaining bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and another with two twin extra long beds both have ocean views. A hall bathroom serves the two bedrooms on this side of the house with an oversize shower stall and separate tub.

Other amenities include WiFi for the entire home, wall-mounted air conditioners/heaters and ceiling fans in the three upstairs bedrooms, a ceiling fan and radiant heat in the living room, and an attached garage.

Please note the gas fireplace is not for guest use.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.)

The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
