The Hop Cottage is a beautiful, semi-detached cottage, which has been lovingly renovated and retains its character with original beams and hop pocket. This former hop house dates back to the 1700s and is typically Georgian. It now provides visitors with family accommodation that emulates charm and quality, and there is a private patio which overlooks the cider orchard. Ashperton is situated on the A417, giving easy access to the pretty Black and White town of Ledbury, with its many independent shops, restaurants, pubs and bistros. Walkers will enjoy the many local walks and golf, fishing and horse riding can all be found in the local areas. The cathedral city of Hereford, Great Malvern, Ross-on-Wye, Gloucester and Cheltenham are all within easy driving distance. Visit the historical villages on the Herefordshire Black and White Trail and the National Trust properties nearby include Berrington Hall, Brockhampton, The Weir Garden and Croft Castle. Also well worth a visit is Hereford Cathedral, Mappa Mundi, Racecourse and River Wye activities, approximately 11 miles away, and the Forest of Dean is within 35 miles.
