A spacious, light, airy and comfortable empty Nest

Almost everyone loves our large and comfortable home! We are located nearby to bustling Stratford Avenue within Colombo. Our home is now only an occasional family home; as a mostly empty nest - we thought of offering one large and spacious room to visitors. Stratford Avenue is within walking distance, and is a great location, with plenty of small restaurants, adventure borderland tours, coffee shops, spa and fancy shops. We are centrally located and easily accessible by bus, car or tuk-tuk. The space The bed is spacious and can sleep two people; but we are starting with one person - to give this a go (if another guest needs to be added, please contact us). The room has its own ensuite shower, with hot-cold water, a ceiling fan, and wifi access is available throughout the home (although the speed and accessibility varies during the day). The room used to be that of one of our daughters, and her collection of photos, paintings and pictures adorn the room; in other words, it is a room within a family home. The back verandah, dinning and sitting area may be used to relax and enjoy the start and end of the day. The screeching parrots, mynahs, squirrels, red-breasted bulbuls, and humming birds are all frequent visitors to our garden at different times of the day. Breakfast is included in the prices, and will be a simple meal of toast, butter, jam and a slice of fresh fruit (egg too on request). Tea or coffee is also included, as is boiled and filtered water - cold or hot (there won't be any bottled water, for environmental reasons and reduce plastic on this planet). Check-in time: 6.00 am - 9.00 pm (outside of these we may be flexible, but please contact and make inquiries). We do have a pet dog; she is a gentle and small hound, once she gets to know people. Please be aware of this and ensure that you are dog-friendly. Guest access House Rules: Please bring along a verifiable form of identity (passport, for instance). Other things to note Most often it seems those touring Sri Lanka are using Colombo as a gateway to the rest of the country.
