Charming Jungle Cabin - secret beach 2 min walk

Fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle and wake up to the sound of the waves! Tucked away 2 min walk from the coast, our cabins built on 14 feet stilts to bring you closer to the tree canopy and the wildlife. Its feels like a tree-house, floating in the lush vegetation. We are located 3.6 miles from Bocas town (area Paunch) an ideal spot for nature lovers, beach addicts, surfers, explorers, day-dreamers and independent adventurous soles. Experience a true getaway and connect with nature! The space With numerous screened windows, skylights and high vaulted ceiling enjoy a bright, open and airy feel to the space. Each cabin (30 m2) has an open plan layout with one queen bed and double doors opening onto covered deck/porch. Your own kitchen gives flexibility to be able to enjoy early morning coffee or fresh tropical smoothie at the time that suits you. Our objective is to offer unique, comfortable, sustainable and private place, right in the tropical forest to an independent travellers. If you dream about relaxing with a book in a hammock, captivated by the nature around you - this is the place for you! Unfortunately this is not a place for you if you: * Have extreme phobia of insects (all windows are screened and there is mosquito net above the bed) but some do get in trough the door * Require air-con or TV to feel comfortable (the wall fan is sufficient) * People with restricted mobility that are unable to walk up the stairs to the equivalent of first floor * guests who plan to party in town often and late (it is hard to get a taxi after midnight) We have designed our place with the following eco-principles and hope you'll appreciate them too: * construction of the cabins was planned around existing trees as not to cut down any tree or disturb canopy that is used by the wildlife as their "roads" and "bridges". * there is no trash collection so ingenious recycling is a must * all the water comes from the rain catchment system, good on your skin and the environment * grey water is returned back to water the garden (we use biodegradable laundry detergent and make our own gentle cleaning products) * biological septic tank is designed on "Watson & Wick" principles (where aerobic bacteria biodegrade waste) * all the wood for our cabins was locally sourced * reducing environmental impact: minimal use of cement, no grass lawns, no air-conditioning, LED lights only.. Guest access * There is a place to park a car * Garden shower to rinse off surf board/feet * We can lend snorkel/mask/fins/reef booties * Laundry service available * Reusable shopping bags available * Covered BBQ area Other things to note Trash is a big problem for this little island, please consider not buying water in a plastic bottles, instead bring a reusable container that we are happy to refill with filtered rain water for drinking. Strict NO SMOKING INSIDE (no burning incense) FIRE HAZARD (100% wooden cabins!). Anyone breaking that rule will be charged damage/cleaning fee of $250.
