Fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle and wake up to the sound of the waves. Elevated cabin design brings you closer to the tree canopy and its wildlife - its feels like a tree-house! Ideal spot for nature lovers, surfers, explorers, day-dreamers and independent adventurous soles. Located outside of Bocas town (3.7 mi) to enjoy tranquility, privacy, empty beaches and world-class waves. Connect with nature, in this is true getaway to be barefoot & free! Ideally located to experience raw jungle, watch the wildlife, be captivated by the sounds and the magical nature around you. Equipped kitchen gives you flexibility to have that cup of coffee or fresh tropical smoothie any time that suits. Your private deck/porch is perfect for yoga practice or just nap in a hammock. Get a restful night sleep in a queen size bed (orthopaedic mattress) protected by the square mosquito net above. Our "wow" factor is thoughtfully design luminous bathroom with walk-in jungle view rain-water shower, that has an outdoor feel to it. High vaulted ceilings, numerous screened openings and roof sky-lights bring lots of light and gives an open and airy feel to the space. If you dream about relaxing with a book, captivated by nature all around, this is the place for you! Unfortunately this is not a place for you if you: * Have extreme phobia of insects * Require air-conditioning (we do have fans) or TV to be comfortable * People with restricted mobility that are unable to walk up the stairs to the equivalent of a first floor. * if you planning to party in town every night (after 2pm its hard to get a taxi back). We have designed our place with following eco-principles and hope you'll appreciate them too :) * construction of the cabins was planned around existing forest not to cut down any tree or disturb canopy that is used by the wildlife as their "roads" and "bridges". * there is no trash collection so ingenious recycling is a must * all the water comes from the rain catchment system, good on your skin and the environment * grey water is returned back to water the garden (we use biodegradable laundry detergent) * biological septic tank is designed on "Watson & Wick" principles (where aerobic bacteria biodegrade waste) * all the wood for our cabins was locally sourced * reducing environmental impact: minimal use of cement, no grass lawns, no air-conditioning, LED lights only.. Our objective is to offer unique, comfortable yet simple and sustainable place, right in the tropical forest to an independent travellers. * There is a place to park car/ATV * Fresh water foot/board shower to rinse off sand and salt * Laundry service available * Filtered rain water for drinking: free of charge * Outdoor covered BBQ area We live at the property and are available for any questions or local advise you might need. Places to eat/drink nearby: Arboloco - almost next door, Paunch Beach Club and Paki Point both 4 min walk, Sully's and Ciao Pizza - 13 min walk. Paunch surf break is 4 min walk, Tiger Tails surf break - 4 min. Various yoga spots with-in walking distance. Bluff beach: unspoiled, amazing stretch of sand of 5 km long, where marine turtles come to lay their eggs (Apr-Aug) - 30 min walk. On our street you will also find small community of indigenous Panamanian Gnabe Bugle people. Great way to get around is by bicycle - 25 min ride to town (we are 6 km/3.7 mi outside of Bocas town). Taxis to get here are about $10 or rent a ATV, golf cart or electric bike. Local bus to/from town ($2 pp). Plastic is a big problem for the little island, please do not purchase bottled drinking water, instead bring a reusable container that we are happy to refill with filtered rain water. In fact all our water come from the rain catchment system, good on your skin and the environment!
