My name is Viviana I am Italian and I live with my family, my husband and 2 girls, I hope you will enjoy our cozy guest garden APARTMENT within our home, featuring a queen size bed, a sofa bed good for a small person or a toddler, 2 twin foldable beds, TV where you can enjoy cable channels, movies and other amenities like, laundry, little kitchenette with a MINI refrigerator, microwave, snacks and hot plates if you like to cook something. Arrivederci! Our home is kids and baby friendly (pack and play, highchair available upon request). We have also a outdoor play area for small children under our porch, where when it is nice out, kids can play with toys, chalk, etc. Please Note: The listing is for apartment ONLY! NOT THE HOUSE! the apartment is completely independent for the rest of the house. It is located below the main floor, It has its own entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom,etc. It is very private, and the only "shared" space with us is the backyard. Please note bedroom and living room are all in the same living aerea and beds are placed there. This apartment is also good for business travelers and regular travelers as it has enough space to be comfortable, a table , free wifi, iron and iron board and an outdoor quiet seating area. It is one bedroom and living room together in the same room and separate kitchenette. Please note: we allow trained pets for a non refundable fee of 50 dollars per stay (for each dog) Parking is available and free on the street! If not available at night, there is always parking on the closer streets with less than a minute walk. Guests will be able to check in at any time after 3pm, as a code to access a lockbox with the key will be provided for guests that confirm the stay. Guests will also be able to enjoy our backyard and the guest seating area close to the fire pit. Please feel free to use our charcoal grill for a BBQ as well! The house is not smoking however, if you smoke and you like to have a cigarette in the backyard, feel free! I will leave an ashtray for you. :) . PLEASE NOTE: to get to the apartment there are 5 stairs going down from the backyard. There are NO railings!!! Guests NOT following the house rules ( i.e. smoking inside the property , leaving the apartment excessively dirty , breaking or stealing furnitures) will be subjected to additional cleaning fees and they will be required to pay the amount of broken object/ missing furniture. Guests that are staying after check out time without discussing and getting the approval to stay , will be charged 50 dollars every additional hour . You will see us from time to time in the backyard in the summer time watering plants or eating with the kids. We are very friendly family so feel free to stop by and say hello! We like to have our guests feel like they are in their home, so we will be available for you for any requests! We welcome people from any country in our apartment, besides English we can communicate with our guests in Italian and a little Spanish! :-) We have rescued a small dog thus forgive us if you hear her play upstairs , however if you like dogs, your are welcome to stop by to say “hello” Old Irving neighborhood is a great place to be, close to Irving park CTA blue line ( 10 min walking) to go to O'Hare airport and downtown, bus and bike lanes on Milwaukee, 2 metro stations 7 -10 min walk, full of shops, restaurants, parks, coffee shops all around. We are close to the Wrigley shuttle as well!! You can safely drive in our neighborhood, you can take 94/90 east ( 2min drive) to go downtown or take 94/90 west to go to ohare. We are close to other nice areas of the city like Logan Square, Lincoln Square. Our day starts early morning as we bring kids to school; we will try our best to be as quiet as possible during this time; forgive us if you hear some noise from time to time. PLEASE NOTE: as much as we can try to be quiet, the apartment is still located below the main floor, thus you may hear us walking around. I apologize for this in advance! We will however try to make your experience in our place wonderful. ;-) FAMILIES with kids: I can watch your kids and they can enjoy to play with my daughters ( 8 and 9years old) , I make Italian home-cooked meal so if you like to take some time off , don’t worry I got you covered! ( 30 dollars/h 1 kid 35 dollars/ 2 or more) . I charge additional 10 dollars per meal. Guests are requested not to make noise after 10pm including doing laundry at late hours to keep the neighbors happy.
