Note; A car is essential for your stay here. Spacious and comfortable twin room. Breakfast with home baked bread and scones, cereals, juices and tea/coffee. Situated in a beautiful rural setting, 8kms to Glendalough national park and 5 mins drive from Rathdrum village's shops , restaurants, pubs and takeaways. With scenic views, it's an ideal place to base yourself for hillwalking, cycling, mountain biking, trail running, golfing or just relaxing. One and 1/4 hours drive from Dublin airport. The space The room is a spacious and comfortable room in our home. There is plenty of closet space. I also have two other bedrooms available. A double with shared bathroom and a double with private en-suite bathroom. If you cannot find them send me a message and I will send you a link. Please consider other guests and DO NOT have showers after 10pm and before 7am. The kitchen/dining area is a lovely sunny room enjoying views of the countryside with a south facing patio which is perfect for dining outdoors and listening to the many birds we have in the gardens. Breakfast includes a choice of home baked bread, scones, granola. Also cereals, fruit, yogurts, juices, teas/coffee. I can cater for gluten free/ wheat free/vegetarian/ vegan diets if given advance notice. Breakfast is from 8.00am - 9.00am. If required, breakfast can be earlier. Guest access Guests can have breakfast in our dining area or on the patio. You share a bathroom with one other room. Guests are welcome to walk around the garden and vegetable garden if they are interested or sit out on the patio and relax. During your stay We are available for guests if they need us for advice or information, There is a supply of leaflets on activities and places to visit in the area. We love talking to guests and can recommend places we have visited and liked. I'm a regular hill walker and can give advice on hikes and trails around Rathdrum, Glenmalure and Glendalaough. Also, maps and information on local walks and trails. My husband plays golf and can advise on the many golf courses we have in the area. Other things to note No need to buy bottles of water. We have lovely water from our own well. Guests are welcome to fill their water bottles from the tap. Please be aware that I have cats on the property. You can hire bikes in Glendalough if you want to explore the countryside by bike. There is a tourist office in Wicklow town. I can supply baby equipment if needed, eg; Travel cot, high chair, baby carrier, buggy.
