Beautiful Hideaway in the hills of trás os montes

This place is our sacred go-to spot when we want to get out of the city and immerse ourselves in nature. This place has special significance for our family because it was here that as a child, we would spend whole days watching over the cows, reading and dreaming as the sun moved across the sky towards dusk. We have recently completed renovations, adding solar & central heating and we would love to share it with people who are looking for a unique experience in an unexplored region of Portugal. The space The place itself is big enough for a family or small group, with 2 separate bedrooms, a central sitting room, a kitchen with gas stove and one bathroom. The floors are all wood, newly sanded and waxed. Solar panels control the electricity so sometimes on cloudy days we have to manage the use of electrical appliances. The cabin is set in a beautiful meadow where a stream runs through. Facing the house is the “Mourisco”, the highest mountain peak in the area. To get to the cabin, you need a car to go down a dirt trail that descends into the valley where it is located. Just upstream from the cabin is our “moinho”, an old stone mill house that used to grind the wheat. Guest access There is another property called the mill house about 200m away that is also being rented. There is a Ping pong, darts and board games for your entertainment Other things to note I may be on the property at times to tend to the garden in the morning. Registration details Exempt
