Only accesible by boat and tucked back near the jungle’s edge is this three story rustic beauty. Featuring a fully equipped kitchen, hanging beds, two balconies, hammocks, living room, private bathroom facilities, a custom open-air shower, and solar powered electricity. With two hanging double beds and five singles she is the largest of the Dolphin Quest bungalows. All the beds have mosquito nets and this space can hold up to nine people. Built by heart, fueled by stories and run by soul, Dolphin Quest is a jungle family project in the Golfo Dulce region and accesible only by boat. We will always prioritize bringing off-the-beaten-path dwellers that raw, unfiltered and organic jungle adventure - ocean and dolphins included. Pristine, rustic and chocked full of character, this is home to what Nat Geo has called “the planet's most intense biodiversity”, the world's first-ever recorded ocean birth, as well as the original Piedras Blancas (National Park) jungle family - us - and their soul-rocking stories. Let nature heal you through a transformative journey of immersive adventures, harmonious sustainability, and spiritual acceptance. Come feel nature heal. *Note that this property is only accessible by private boat. This comes at an additional cost. While here you get free access to: Typical Costa Rican drip coffee (when you get our Mreal Plan), a variety of medicinal teas, and our signature homemade health shots and ferments such as kombucha, turmeric-ginger, noni, ciders, electrolyte elixirs, coconut water and digestive bitters. Wi-fi access in our Communal Dining Space (7am-10pm). Kayaks, soccer field, workout space, slackline, aerial silks, dipping pool, and hiking trails through the Piedras Blancas National Park (unless you consider yourself an experienced hiker, I suggest having a guide the first time you enter the national park). The jungle fam thrives on hearty conversations, making memories and forming connections. As providers of a novel and raw experience, we are always thrilled to share the region's secrets, jungle living 101, sustainability in a globally significant region of biodiversity, and existing in harmony with nature. Accessible only by private boat, Dolphin Quest exists as part of the Piedras Blancas National Park while also being just steps away from the pristine warm waters of the Golfo Dulce. Named by Nat Geo as "the most biologically intense place on earth", the Osa Peninsula accounts for about half of the 6% of the planet's biodiversity that Costa Rica so proudly hosts. This family has played a substantial role in the early years of conservation of the area, spearheading the initial movement in the 80s and providing assistance and education to the entire community with regards to the harmonious co-existence of nature, wildlife, marine life and humans. In helping shape the course of history of the region, this family has developed a profound understanding of the connection between nature and mankind, and would be thrilled to share it with likeminded souls. To arrive at the Golfito airport, catch a Sansa Air flight from the capital (San Jose). From the airport, catch a bus into town. To arrive in Golfito by public transport, catch a 7-hour Tracopa coach ride (8,015 Colones/USD13) from the Tracopa bus terminal in San Jose. As of April 2019, two coaches leave daily; 7am and 3pm. For both options mentioned above, we'll receive you at the little dock with a shop called Muellecito right by the water and tourist information centre. To arrive from Puerto Jimenez, just arrange for a direct boat ride with us. Boat ride fares are not included in the price. Once you are here you can book activities such as boating, fishing, spearfishing, snorkeling, dolphin & whale watching, kayaking, guided jungle exploration, diving, horseback riding, botanical garden tour, wildlife tours, Costa Rican history and traditions, and of course, yoga!
