Description
Mimosa is a self-contained cabin/bungalow sitting beside a citrus orchard within a certified organic permaculture farm and mountain rainforest landscape The Wilsons Creek Valley is filled with creeks, freshwater swimming holes, sub-tropical rainforest, hiking tracks, and national parks and is a short ten-minute drive from Mullumbimby and close to the river and beaches of Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay. The space Mimosa sits centrally with views over the plateau, the valley, mountains and sub-tropical rainforest with national park boundaries. It has a fully self-contained kitchen, bathroom (with bath) and internal features including a main bedroom, open plan lounge, living and kitchen, a sleeping area with a 2nd queen bed at end of open plan lounge, fast reliable internet, TV (no signal but can stream content), reverse cycle heating and cooling, a large timber deck with open views, winter sun and summer shade. The toilet is a dry, odorless compost toilet system in a bathroom with shower and bath and the kitchen is well stocked and run with gas cooktop and electric oven. Nearby are sheep, lambs, chickens, cows and goats who enjoy curious visitors with goats in particular in the view from the deck. Guests are welcome to have a wander around our permaculture farm and can see various buildings like yurts, domes, food, medicine and animal systems, off grid solar, eco-tech, subtropical rainforest, creeks and natural pools. The broader valley and area has beautiful scenic drives, fresh water creeks, swimming holes, waterfalls, rural villages, cafes, markets, nearby rivers and beaches. Guest access Guest can access many parts of the property, walking through paddocks and plateaus, around orchards and gardens, rainforest trails and visiting animals. After heavy recent rain, the final part of the access track can be a bit soft or muddy. This just means unloading car from 25 metres away and then parking a 30 second walk away.
