This elegant 100 year old home with original oak accents throughout including staircase is located near downtown Escanaba, a short bike ride away form the lakefront. it is within easy walking distance to several nearby restaurants. The house is nicely landscaped and includes a lovely fenced in perennial garden and landscaped front yard. House has been updated with all modern appliances and amenities with eclectic upscale furnishings and antiques. Access to kitchen. Street parking is available. The space Swede’s House has three bedrooms each with queen beds, nightstands, armoires, closets etc for guest’s convenience. Living room and sunroom with eclectic and antique furniture and Kawaii grand piano, 55” Smart TV, multiple streaming services and stereo system. Dining room table accommodates 6-8 people and kitchen has dishwasher, Cuisinart appliances and Keurig coffee maker, pots and pans as well as spices and the like for cooking. Laundry room off of kitchen has Samsung front loading washer and dryer for guest convenience. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire two upper floors of the house. Other things to note A co-host/assistant resident director, Mitchell, lives in the basement apartment which is accessed from another exterior door and is completely separate from the two upstairs floors of the Swede’s House. He is there to assist you with any questions you might have about the area - restaurant, day trip recommendations, etc. and handle any problems that might arise with the house.
