The space The Maison de Grand Maman is an enchanting Bed & Breakfast, originated from a stone-made house dating back to the 19th century. I have planned and realized the house furniture, restoring old wood boards in a creative and scrupulous manner and at the same time respecting the traditional structure of the house itself. The outcome shows a charming 2-floor house where love and respect tradition meets natural fabrics creating a total harmony. Totally secluded in the very heart of a little mountain village, it is at the very same time at a short walking distance to the road where there is a private parking space. In the summer season the Bed & Breakfast offers a quiet and peaceful garden, just next to the house, where you can relax in the sun. The Maison offers cooking facilities, breakfast room, 3 bedrooms and basement. The Maison de Grand Mamam offers a rich typical breakast with a wide choice of local and biological products; breakfast is included in the room rate. The bathroom is equipped with toiletries, Alp-flowers flavoured. The Aquilegia room is the largest one among the Maison de Grand Mamam rooms. Every detail is carefully studied and the room is confortable and warm; decorated wood is predominant. With its 3 beds it is the perfect choice even for families. I plan theme-based walking tours from May to October. May is the month of the healing and natural herbs. During the weekend I propose day-trips going with you through some nice hamlets (Verana, Ecreux and Outreleve) discovering the 30 natural herbs that in the past are used in the kitchen. You can appreciate and taste these herbs having dinner in a traditional restaurant "La Coumba de La Louye" located in the Crest village in Pontboset. Juny, July and August are the most beautiful months to unearth the uncommon flowers of the Alleigne valley and the Miserin lake. We could also make photo trekking watching the female chamoises that play with their puppies along the snowfields or the nimble steinbocks along the face of the Delà mountain. You can also climb into the Glacier mountain to admire the whole landscape of Aosta Valley, discover the innumerable lakes of the Mont Avic Parl called the "little" Canada. There are also various snowshoes tours:from December to April I organize snowshoes walking also during the night when there is the full-moon, beautiful hiking where you could take suggestive pictures and then you could lunch in a typical mountain refuge and observe the wild winter fauna.
