Description

Large family home with view, bright and quiet, located in the middle of the mountains. The house is 10 minutes from Kaysersberg, 20 minutes from Colmar and Lac Blanc station, and less than an hour from Strasbourg, Freiburg and Europapark in the very peaceful village of Fréland. It has 11 beds divided into 5 bedrooms, including 4 bedrooms with double beds. Very nice pool with panoramic terrace (unheated). Departure of beautiful walks or hikes from the house. The space Large family house of 160 m2 on 2 levels, very bright, comfortable, overlooking the village. Large equipped kitchen Large open living room 5 bedrooms 2 bathrooms 2 powder rooms 3 terraces, including a covered terrace with ping pong table, and a panoramic view of the village. Garden The two upper spaces of the house are totally private, with independent entrance. Between July 20 and August 20 (and possibly at any time of the year), our cat Pouska shares your stay in the house. Adorable and discreet, Pouska is generally very appreciated by our guests. Guest access The house is located in a cul-de-sac. Parking in front of the house can accommodate up to 4 cars (free). One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, with access to the bathroom and adjoining toilet. The entrance to the house is on one level, without steps. Other things to note Here is some useful information that is important to be aware of: >>>>>> In the kitchen: - Don't overpack, we provide coffee, tea/herbal teas, cocoa, sugar, oil, vinegar, mustards, spices, flours (everything is organic, in general) etc., as well as coffee filters, dishwasher tablets. - Our coffee machine is at your disposal: "old" style, working the old-fashioned way with filters, so it makes good coffee! - Tap water is excellent in Fréland, no need to bring your water bottles. - We have several machines available: raclette oven for 8 people, caquelon for fondues, rice cooker, waffle iron, pancake oven, etc. - Waste is almost entirely recycled. Sorting is easy. >>>>>> Regarding heating: In winter, you will be greeted to a warm house!! The house is fully heated with the wood stove located in the living room. The heat from the stove is lovely. Don't worry, there's no smoke smell in the house! We provide you with everything you need to light and maintain the fire, and we explain how to do it (nothing complicated). If you are not used to it, you will greatly appreciate the evenings by the fire, or come and warm up in front of the stove when returning from winter walks in the snow). We provide some additional electric heaters if necessary. >>>>>> Games, toys and books They are at your disposal. We had 4 children, and our house is well suited for children, with puzzles and toys available. >>>>>> Ping-pong, basketball. Everyone enjoys it, in general. We have rackets and balls available to you. >>>>>> Dogs: Dogs are welcome in our house. We just ask that a few rules be respected: Dogs are not allowed to climb the stairs leading to the second floor. If we host your dog, we offer a small gate at the bottom of the stairs to make it easier. Dogs are not allowed to climb on the sofa or beds. No problem to have it do its business nearby (a large field in front of our house lends itself well to this). On the other hand, in the rest of the village, it is required to pick up after them (bags and garbage cans are available). Unlike many cottages that welcome dogs, we do not ask for a deposit, but in case of damage, we ask for corresponding compensation.
