The Neighborhood: Welcome to, just about, the safest and the quietest neighborhood in San Francisco. Sunset is a more of a residential area of city, making it the great place for families or those who want to stay away from the bustling downtown area. The San Francisco Zoo is about 10 blocks away, as is the Pacific Ocean, as is the Golden Gate Park. If you came with small children, there are playgrounds all around. There is one on 42nd Ave and Vicente street (about 5 blocks away). San Francisco weather is ever-changing. Some days are very sunny, other days - not so much. Restaurants and shops are on the nearby Taraval Street, Noriega street or Irving street(with the heaviest foot traffic and lots of shops, boutiques and restaurants) . It is very easy to get around the neighborhood, since parallel streets are numbered and cross streets are alphabetical. If someone needs a bit of space, we made sure living room sofa can be easily converted into a full size bed. ... and please enjoy the coffee in the kitchen. Getting Around Muni is just around the corner, just walk down the block, hop on, and you will arrive in downtown San Francisco in 25 or so minutes. Of course, Lyft, Uber and Cab drivers will be more than happy to pick you up as well. Other Things to Note Remember, San Francisco is only 7 miles wide by 7 miles long. Everything is close here :). One can be at any place within the city in no time. For instance 10 minute drive will take you to Haight & Asbury neighborhood, that is by bus or car. Walk 10 blocks down hill, and you are on the sand beach. Sun bathe all day or be more daring and step into the Ocean, your choice. By Bus or by Car, you are less than 30 minutes away from downtown Union Square. One could say My neighborhood Sunset is very close to any part of town, yet very far away from any crime or danger. Come stay in this big Sunset apartment! Please remember that you will be staying in a home, not a hotel. Therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own.
