The Granary

The Granary is a unique and spacious home. Set on a small farm, it was converted from barn to cottage in the late 1990's. Pets are allowed (for fee) and our dog and cats may stop by to visit. Great for families visiting home, or looking for a place to get away. Great for travelers visiting the Gilboa Quarry. No parties or events per AirBNB policy. **IMPORTANT: 1 queen size bed on the first floor The other beds are open lofts visible to each other and accessible by very STEEP stairs. The space The home features open spaces, exposed beams, pastoral views, and several unique copper penny light fixtures envisioned by the former owner. The wrap around porch with seating offers relaxing views of the pond and woods, and spectacular views of the starry skies on clear nights. **IMPORTANT the master bedroom is on the first floor and is the only private bedroom. The other "bedrooms" are open lofts visible to each other and accessible by very steep stairs. Guest access Guests who book the granary will have private access to the entire house. There is a fire pit and firewood in the yard in addition to the indoor fireplace. Please supply your own firewood. The pond is accessible to guests at their sole liability. Rafts, kayaks, and life jackets are available in the shed. The hosts may use the pond at any time. Other things to note As noted, the Granary is located on the same property as our primary residence. The primary residence is visible across the pond from the Granary. Dogs should be kept on a leash outside of the house. Please do not leave pets in the house unattended unless they are crated.
