The Granary

The Granary is a unique and spacious home. Set on a small farm, it was converted from barn to cottage in the late 1990's. Pets are allowed (for fee) and our dog and cats may stop by to visit. Great for families visiting home, or looking for a place to get away. Great for travelers visiting the Gilboa Quarry. No parties or events per AirBNB policy. **IMPORTANT: 1 queen size bed on the first floor The other beds are open lofts visible to each other and accessible by very STEEP stairs. The space The home features open spaces, exposed beams, pastoral views, and several unique copper penny light fixtures envisioned by the former owner. The wrap around porch with seating offers relaxing views of the pond and woods, and spectacular views of the starry skies on clear nights. **IMPORTANT the master bedroom is on the first floor and is the only private bedroom. The other "bedrooms" are open lofts visible to each other and accessible by VERY STEEP STAIRS. Guests have exclusive use of the entire Granary, including: Spacious open-concept living areas Fully equipped kitchen Wraparound porch overlooking the pond Fire pit Books, games, and family-friendly amenities High-speed Wi-Fi and dedicated workspace Outside, guests are welcome to enjoy: The pond Beach area Kayaks Floating raft Fishing All water activities are at your own risk, and children should be supervised at all times. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire Granary and the surrounding yard during their stay. The pond, beach area, kayaks, floating raft, and fire pit are available for guest enjoyment at their sole liability. Please note: Guests should bring their own firewood for both the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. Dogs are welcome with our pet fee but must remain on a leash while outdoors because this is an active farm. Pets should not be left unattended inside the home unless they are securely crated. Other things to note PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING! IMPORTANT! The Granary has a unique sleeping layout that is not suitable for everyone. The home accommodates up to six guests. The primary bedroom is the ONLY fully enclosed bedroom and is located on the first floor. The other two sleeping areas are open lofts overlooking the main living space and each other. The lofts are accessed by VERY STEEP, ladder-like stairs. These stairs may not be suitable for young children, older adults, guests with mobility limitations, or anyone uncomfortable climbing steep stairs.
