Welcome to Pinto House! In the Wonder Valley area on a quiet paved road, you'll find yourself able to relax & unwind in our charming & quirky desert home. The space Pinto House sits on a 5 acre, fully fenced property that's just 12 miles / 15 minutes from the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The peaceful quiet, endless sunsets, and star-filled nights make it a great retreat. A place to take a deep breath and unwind. Inside: The house has two bedrooms with queen beds, as well as a queen pull-out sofa bed in the living room. One of the bedrooms has an office space (with extra monitor) in case you need to get in a little work. The other room has a library of classic literature we've collected over the years for you to enjoy during your stay. Each room has its own personal-zoned mini-split A/C & heating unit so you can adjust the temperature just how you like it! Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan, extra blankets, and 2 terrycloth robes. We have super-fast Wi-Fi for smooth streaming / remote work / video calls. There is a full kitchen with a reverse osmosis filtered water system, gas range, and automatic ice maker. We also have coffee and tea available! There are also many card & board games to play on the long kitchen table and a 55-inch Vizio smart UHDTV (with sound bar & subwoofer!) where you can log-in to your streaming services or project your own phone/computer. Outside: Our favorite part! It is so quiet and peaceful - exactly what you want from a desert experience. Covered front and back patios. Covered parking area. The front patio has a bistro table and the back patio has a picnic table surrounded by hammocks. Settle in for hours with your coffee and a book! You can play a round of cornhole, sling some horseshoes, take the meandering path back to the fire pit, or explore the desert landscape on 5 acres of fenced, dog-friendly fun. From July-September we offer a wonderfully cool, 12-foot round, above-ground pool! At the end of the day, the big hot tub is perfect for star gazing or enjoying the sunset.
