33 Crovie is the highest and one of the largest cottages in the unique 18th century Village of Crovie. It has a beautiful private garden patio area for dining, relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views over the Moray Firth. It has 3 storeys, a kitchen/ dining room in the basement, 2 entrance level sitting rooms and a bathroom and 2 upstairs bedrooms. The cottage sleeps 4, and is the ideal place to stay in Crovie Village. The space Crovie Village (pronounced Crivie) is a truly spellbinding place. It is a small 18th Century conservation fishing village, on the North Aberdeenshire coast of Scotland, set dramatically on a narrow ledge in front of the cliffs and is one of the few villages in the UK, that is inaccessible to vehicles. It sits looking across the bay to the larger village of Gardenstown. As well as being the best preserved 18th century conservation fishing village in Europe, Crovie Village also has the narrowest space between shore and cliff of any Scottish village. There are no shops, restaurants, amenities or cars allowed in the Village of Crovie. The Village has an original BT red phone box and a Royal Mail postbox (which are both still in full working order). 33 Crovie is situated midway along the village, just past the Village Pier, which is a 5 minute walk from the lower car park, along the village footpath or alternatively a 5 minute walk down steep steps from the two higher car parks, at the top of the hill. There are steps leading up to 33 Crovie from the village footpath. The cottage has its own trolley/wheelbarrow, at the lower carpark, to help transport your luggage and provisions ! Other things to note 33 Crovie is decorated and equipped to a very high standard. It has a beautiful original open fire in the Sitting Room and a multi fuel stove in the kitchen. Both can be used, as you wish, during your stay. It is not recommended for small children, or people with mobility issues, due to the steep stairs from the Sitting Room down to Kitchen. (see photos of the Kitchen) 33 Crovie has the STL Licence - AS00241F (From 1st October 2023, this is a new legal requirement in Scotland. Hosts who let out accommodation to guests on a temporary basis must have a STL Licence) No smoking No disabled access No pets The following are all Included in the price: * Electric central heating (with radiators in each room). *Electricity * Cottage will be professionally cleaned before your visit. * Professionally laundered egyptian cotton bed linen and towels. *Unlimited coal and logs will be supplied for the open fire in the sitting room and the stove in the kitchen *Free wifi (BT superfast fibre). The cottage has a Sony Bravia 4K UHD Smart 49" TV The Cottage complies to all the new electrical regulations. It has Interlinking smoke and heat alarms and carbon monoxide alarms. Fully PAT tested and Full Wiring Inspection (valid until Aug 2026). The private patio of 33 Crovie is the perfect place to enjoy stunning sunsets, to listen to the sound of waves breaking on the shore, and often on a calm evening (usually around 8pm), is the perfect place to see dolphins swimming in the bay. There is no designated parking space for 33 Crovie, you are free to park in any of the spaces in the lower and upper two carparks. Parking is free. Registration Details AS00241F
