Relax in one of Cornwall's most picturesque locations. This waterside property has 3 bedrooms - 2 with ensuite bathrooms & views across the creek plus a twin bedroom & family bathroom. Watch the breathtaking landscape transform as the tide ebbs & floods between the imposing, tree-lined banks of the Tresillian River and right up to the patio's edge. This location and the wealth of wildlife that can be seen from here make this the ultimate getaway for nature lovers & sailors alike. The lower maisonette of this converted boatyard has been recently furnished and equipped to a high standard in order to accommodate discerning holidaymakers looking for a touch of luxury in the beautiful county of Cornwall. Bedroom 1 features a super king bed which can be arranged as twin beds on request. It has views across Bar Creek and an ensuite shower room with toilet. Bedroom 2 features a double bed, views across Bar Creek and an ensuite shower room with toilet. Bedroom 3 features twin beds. Each bedroom is also equipped with a multi-plug power extension so that our guests can charge all their devices conveniently and easily. The Family Bathroom has a whirlpool bath and all the showers in the property are invigoratingly powerful. The Living/Kitchen/Dining area is a large, open plan space with patio doors and wide-reaching views across the estuary toward St. Clement. The living area has a sofa bed with pocket-sprung mattress which can accommodate another 1-2 people on request. There is good WiFi coverage throughout and, surprisingly, the 4G is better than London! There is also an HD TV with Free Sat and an Amazon Firestick on which you can watch movies and programmes on demand using our Netflix and Amazon accounts as well as free, on-demand services such as iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 etc. We are also slowly building up the contents of our bookcase which we hope will provide you with some interesting reading/browsing relating to Cornwall, the nautical lifestyle and local wildlife. We do not have a guest book however we have provided a miniature easel, pencils, water-based paints and a sketch book in which we hope our guests will be inspired by the scenery to leave a contribution. The kitchen area has a large 8-seater dining table. The kitchen itself has been equipped with good quality pots, pans and utensils as well as a Sage toaster, kettle, handheld blender, nutribullet-style blender, a Nespresso coffee machine, a dishwasher and washer/dryer so that this truly is a home from home. Exiting the patio doors from the open plan area brings guests seamlessly onto a patio with a gas barbecue and an outdoor dining table for 8 guests. In the daytime, keep an eye out for herons, egrets and the elusive kingfisher that all patrol the shore whilst in the evening keep an eye out for shooting stars and listen to the owls that nest in the surrounding woodland. Guests can also enjoy use of a brand new Stand-Up Paddleboard and Tandem Kayak if they feel the urge to get out into the inviting waters of the estuary. Although we have provided some buoyancy aids it must be pointed out that guests use these facilities strictly at their own risk. At nearby Boscawen Park, a pleasant 20 minute walk, guests will also find 8 tennis courts that can be booked through the Truro City Council website as well as a newly refurbished playground so do make sure you pack your rackets! This is one of the most popular areas for boating and sailing in the UK and this property is fortunate to have a slipway which is shared with our neighbours at Bar Creek. Boats up to c.18ft can be easily launched from here at high tide and swinging moorings can be arranged on request at extra cost. There is also a guest pontoon at Malpas Marina where berths can be paid for daily subject to availability. For launching larger boats, there is a public slipway at Boscawen Park and Mylor Harbour has a full range of launching/marina facilities. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch. There is space directly outside the property for one car. Additional free parking is also available on the road and we will be happy to help you find a space. Malpas is one of the UK's hidden gems. Overlooking the Truro and Tresillian Rivers, it lies at the end of a long dead end road within both an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Despite the incredibly scenic and tranquil location, the village is, incredibly, just 2 miles from Cornwall's only city, Truro, where access to every amenity possible can be found. This makes it a truly exceptional and unique location.
