Loft in the attic of the Häselburg with a view
Loft im Dachgeschoss der Häselburg mit Weitblick
Description
The bright 80 sqm penthouse is centrally located, just 200 m from the town hall. It has two separate bedrooms, a spacious eat-in kitchen with fully equipped fitted kitchen, dining table, sofa, desk and a bathroom with bathtub and shower and an additional guest toilet. The elevator takes you directly to the apartment and you can enjoy a wide view over the city. Suitable for 1-4 people, sofa bed available. Fast Wi-Fi. Non-smoking apartment, no animals allowed. The space The penthouse is designed as a spacious, open living space from which the two bedrooms branch off. It is equipped with modern solid wood furniture. The open roof truss allows the full room height to be experienced and gives the apartment a special sense of space. The gable windows open the view far over the city and provide plenty of daylight. While high-quality oak parquet was laid in the living rooms, organic linoleum and slate were used in the bathroom. The bathroom has a freestanding bathtub, separate shower and two sinks. A separate toilet is also available. When it comes to furnishings, we attach great importance to quality and sustainability: Guests sleep on high-quality organic certified mattresses, with organic down duvets in freshly washed white linen without perfume. The concept of the artist's apartment arose from the desire to offer the artists working in the Häselburg cultural center a beautiful retreat. The aim was to combine modernity with tradition, architecture with design and art – an approach that was awarded by IBA Thuringia, among others. Like the house itself, the artists' rooms and apartments are also a creative experimental space. Carefully restored historical building fabric meets young design and clear forms; minimalism combines with tradition. Site-specific installations in the stairwell complement the architecture. This creates a living work of art – an ideal place for living, art and culture. In each room or apartment as well as in the public areas of the Häselburg, there are selected works of art by young and established masters from the region and beyond. For this reason, the guest rooms and/or apartments are still called "artist's rooms" to this day. We deliberately refrain from unnecessary frills and focus on the essentials. Out of conviction, we do not have a TV; instead, free WiFi is available throughout the house. No smoking inside the apartment, but you are welcome to smoke outside on the small terrace on the floor. The washing machine and dryer are also on the same floor, which you are welcome to use. Guest access You can take the elevator to the top floor without barriers. Check-in is contactless. You will receive the detailed access information including all necessary codes by email the evening before your stay. Other things to note The apartment is heated by underfloor heating. The thermostat is set at 21.5 °C, so it is pleasantly warm. Please do not change this setting so that the next guests will also find a cozy apartment. If you would like it a little cooler or warmer, please call us. We will then explain how to adjust the heating and simply ask you to restore the original setting before your departure. Thank you for understanding!
