Hosts live on site in a separate basement apartment. Easy access to Notre Dame (45 min), Middlebury (20 min), Nappanee (20 min), and 25 to Shipshewana (25 min). Be our guests in this beautiful historic home overlooking the river and close to all the action in downtown Goshen, IN. When you book this listing you are booking exclusive access to all guest rooms, as well as all main floor common spaces. You also have exclusive access to the wooden back deck off the kitchen. The upstairs guest spaces (3 bedrooms) offer a one-of-a-kind getaway with beautiful views overlooking the water and grounds. Guests feel fully rejuvenated after spending the night in rooms featuring memory foam mattresses, sitting areas, and flat screen tvs. Of the 3 bedrooms upstairs, one features a king bed and sitting area with a fold down couch and an en-suite luxury attached bath with jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The second room has a king bed and a loveseat that folds out into a full. The third room has a queen bed. A beautiful hall bath with stand-up shower is shared between the afore mentioned upstairs guest rooms. The main floor has an additional bedroom featuring a king bed and its own attached full bath. A queen size pull out can also be set up in the main floor office/library. The front living room also has a full size pull out couch that can be set up if needed. One set of linens (sheets and towels) per guest are provided for your convenience. Complimentary snack and beverage areas are stocked in convenient amenity stations, featuring single serve coffee machines, a mini fridge and microwaves respectively; providing conveniences our guests would expect in a 5-star hotel at a fraction of the price. The main floor living rooms, kitchen, library, side porch, and dining room are all available for your guest group to use exclusively. Off the kitchen there is a wooden deck reserved for guest use. There is a sitting area, propane fire place, and grill available to all booked guests. There is a riverside fire pit and sitting area down near the river. This space is accessibly by guest groups but may be prioritized during some bookings for host use. Guests are not allowed to touch or use the hosts boat. All outdoor soaces are space is kept “guest clean” May through September. From October-April, the space is usable by guests, but may not be cleaned off from weather debris. The hosts and their small dogs live on site in a separate basement apartment. They have a private outdoor patio that is directly outside their door, which is adjacent to the guest outdoor deck area. The hosts are often not seen and do not interact with guests unless they are requested and/or needed. The main entrance is designated for guest access. An electronic key pad is available for convenient self check-in. Guests should not use either of the side doors near the garage, as those entrances are private and designated for the hosts and for storage. The Villa Goshen is located on Main Street in Goshen, close to Kercher Road. Most guests find taking the 17 highway to Kercher road the quickest and most convenient way to access the home from the 20 bypass or the 80/90. Once you arrive, guests will find they are less than 2 miles from the amenities of downtown Goshen and within a short drive of many of the local tourism and shopping areas of Goshen, Middlebury, Shipshewana, and Nappanee. Hosts are available to share insights regarding area activities, but it is our desire that guests have the privacy and freedom to enjoy the space with their group, so unless guests request regular interaction, hosts will leave them to enjoy their stay without interruption. Hosts may need access to the guest spaces in rare occasions, in order to do necessary home maintenance. This interaction will be coordinated with guests and pre-approved. The Villa Goshen is conveniently nestled between several iconic northern Indiana towns. Guests have easy access to all the tourism hot spots of Goshen, Nappanee, Middlebury, Elkhart and Shipshewana. The quaint restaurants and artisan shops of downtown Goshen are within 2 miles of The Villa, and the home is surrounded by the beauty of the Goshen pond and provides quick access to the pumpkin vine bike trail. Approximately 45 minutes from Notre Dame stadium, a 20 minute drive to the famous Middlebury Essenhaus, 20 minutes to Nappanee, and 25 minutes to Rise-N-Roll, Blue Gate, Shipshewana Flea Market, and many Indiana Amish Country activities. The Goshen trolley bus system makes all area attractions easily accessible. Uber is available in town as well. Downtown Goshen is a short 2 minute drive and The Villa can provide two adult bikes for guest use while staying, if requested, for enjoying the trails. Guests with pets will be charged an additional pet fee of $50 per visit. The Villa and spaces outside and within are available to booked guests only. Any requests for additional guests visiting The Villa need to be arranged IN ADVANCE with the host. Additional fees may apply for non-booked guests visiting The Villa.
