Tadpole Shepherds Hut Bed and Breakfast, Somerset

The Tadpole Hut Bed and Breakfast offers the perfect escape to the country. Relax under the stars (you can see them from your pillow!) as you enjoy a break from the routine in a truly beautiful part of South Somerset. This luxury bolthole is the perfect jumping off point for exploring the area’s natural beauty and quirky wonders, though you may prefer to snuggle up in front of the log burner! Breakfast is simple, locally sourced and served at the time of your choosing. The space The Tadpole was hand built in 2021 by local craftsmen at Blackdown Shepherd Huts in nearby Ilminster to the highest standards. It is fitted with an electric shower, wood burning stove, electric radiator, and a drop-down double bed. The contents are of an equally high standard, and include such thoughtful touches as a mobile phone charging pad, smart speaker and a range of board games. WiFi is fast and reliable and the views across the valley are stunning, especially at sunrise when the mist sometimes gathers. You'll have access to our fabulous garden, with outside seating and a wildlife pond complete with frogs and newts! Guest access The Tadpole Bed and Breakfast sits on the edge of the small pretty village of Kingsdon with its stone cottages and farmhouses, gastro pub and community shop. Parking is available off road a few metres from the Hut.
