Stay in our luxury first floor light and airy one bedroom apartment with a large living space with fireplace and sweeping sunset views across town to Beachy Head. With an enchanting terrace and a private garden secluded by trees and situated beneath Hastings Castle, our romantic getaway is just a 5 minute walk to the beach and shops. The Old Town and Fishing Quarter are a scenic short stroll across the top of West Hill The space Castledown Terrace is located on a private road and the property is in the middle of the terrace. Our apartment is on the first floor accessed through the communal front door and up one flight of stairs. The apartment was completely renovated last year with new kitchen and bathroom, flooring and redecoration to create a light and calming atmosphere. The cosy bedroom has a comfortable double bed with a peaceful outlook over our private garden and trees beyond. The exceptionally spacious living room has a Georgian fireplace, Smart TV, comfy sofabed with provided bedlinen if required, dining area with seating for four people, CD and DVD player, and bay window seating to watch the perfect sunset. The bathroom has a deep bath and rainfall shower with a convenient hand held shower rose. The fully equipped kitchen opens outside to a charming sun terrace area for morning coffee and breakfast leading down steps to a patio, seating area and enchanting nature garden bounded by a sandstone rock wall. Guest access From the terrace, a flight of steps leads downhill onto Castle Hill Road that leads down to the beachfront and into the new town. If you turn right out of the terrace and walk uphill past the castle entrance you will reach West Hill and the dramatic views across the old town looking east. Please note that the property is located on a hill so there are steps and some steep uphill walking so it is not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Although parking is available on a first come first served basis directly on the terrace, there is usually space especially since we have installed a residents only parking scheme. In the event there is not a space available there is free parking a 5 minute walk away or paid parking 1 minute walk down the steps from the terrace.
