Description

Rest and relax in the countryside on the Hat Ranch Gallery Compound. This thoughtfully designed desert home boasts amazing views of desert and mountains. Cozy up near the wood stove during the winter while you sketch or curl up in the hammock to stargaze year-round finding inspiration to work on your novel. This charming and creative space is peaceful and quiet, yet you're 20 minutes from the iconic city of Santa Fe. This adobe Casita is an Authentic Santa Fe Experience. No doubt about it. The space The Hat Ranch Gallery Compound is a quiet, peaceful family-owned property. Filled with art and great energy, this property is restful and restorative. Enjoy all the amenities in your Casita, including art supplies, a yoga mat (sterilized after every guest), French Press for coffee, assorted teas and a hammock to stargaze the world-famous New Mexico sky. It is authentically designed using centuries-old techniques, materials and styles and lovingly hand-built in the local Mexican/Spanish/Native American tradition of true adobe homes. Build a cozy wood fire in the winter and snuggle up with a good book or work on a sketch (sketchbook & pencils provided). Step out to the patio to sip your favorite cool beverage in the summer and grill up some green chili burgers! Your Casita is all about relaxation. Many of our Guests don't even leave the property for days on end. We are environmentally conscious and make every attempt to "walk lightly on the Earth" and hope you do too. The Casita is designed with efficiency in space and low environmental impact. Living in the southwest high desert (7,000 ft), we are acutely water conscious - so please be mindful of water usage in general. Come visit the Gallery during business hours (Thurs-Sun, 11-5 or by appointment) - we'd love to see you! Guest access Your access to the Casita is complete! You have full run of it, the back patio, your front patio and your parking area. Enjoy! Other parts of the HRG Compound are private. If you want to walk or take a hike, there are options listed in our AirBnB Guidebook, which can be accessed via the Casita listing/profile. If you have any questions or need directions/suggestions, just ask! We're here to make your stay as perfect as possible. Just pop over to the Gallery or find me working around the property somewhere.... Other things to note Checkout procedures are easy and posted on the fridge and in your Casita binder. We tread gently on the Earth out here, as we feel our property is special and we ask that you treat it accordingly. This Compound is located on part of an ancient San Marcos Pueblo so please be respectful of the space in general. Never pick up any pottery shards or any other Native artifacts you may find (no matter how tempting). Please minimize/be conscious of water use, be gentle on the Casita, leave it as close to how you found it as possible and if there's anything we can do to make your stay with us more enjoyable, please let us know and if we can....we will.
