A beautiful 4-bedroom Sussex house, beautifully extended with large well-tended garden and views over the South Downs. This is a family home in the desirable village of Ditchling, within the South Downs National Park, 6 miles from Brighton & Hove. Originally built by the author Esther Meynell, and the subject of her book 'Building a Cottage', it is beautifully decorated, with wooden floors throughout, original oak doors and beams, exposed brick fireplace and many more original features. The space Inside, guests will be drawn to the large living room and sunroom, with large BoConcept corner sofa, baby grand piano, television and views over the garden. Upstairs there are 3 good-sized bedrooms, and 1 large master suite with en-suite bathroom and queen size (6-foot wide) bed. The garden has a large open lawn and well-tended borders, and a small herb garden and vegetable plot which guests are welcome to use. There is a large children’s climbing frame, football goals, trampoline and pedal tractor. There are multiple seating and dining areas, with a charcoal barbecue and fire-pit available for guest use. Just over the road is the Ditchling recreation ground with large field, basketball hoop and playground. Guest access Use of front and rear garden and whole house is included (excluding a small locked store room on each floor, and the garage).
