Superior Gateway Lodge's bright & colorful Pine Suite surrounds you with beautiful White Pine logs. The queen bed is super comfortable along with two sitting chairs. Enjoy a soothing jacuzzi tub & shower with views of the night sky from the large bathroom window. Experience all the North Shore offers, then come enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, relax in the living room with its awesome lakestone fireplace or enjoy our massive deck & cabana. Please note children under 13 or pets are not allowed. The Lodge is simply stunning, built with over 80 hand hewn, locally sourced Pines and a matching garage to boot! Our 40 acres is a small sample of the majestic northern woods. We have a small pond with a fire pit to enjoy the night sky and roast marshmallows. For winter guests we’re <1 mile from a CJ Ramstad/North Shore State Trail entrance! Bring your sleds and drive your sled right from the property to trail access. We have lots of future plans for walking trails along an existing 1/2 mile access road to the back acreage so check back soon. We'll email you prior to your stay and include the passcode to enter the main door to the lodge. Inside you will have a welcome pack and your key to your room will be on the key rack behind the door. Owners, Beth and Jeff will be available should you need them as they reside in the basement level of the lodge. Should you need anything we will be there to help. The new guest loft is also available and can accommodate up to 4 guests. We also host our daughters' 2 cats at different times of the year. They will be in the basement level with us and will not be in the main areas for your stay. We are 8 miles West of Two Harbors and the temperature can differ as much as 10-15 degrees warmer off the lake. There can be fog in Tow Harbors and sun at the lodge as our elevation rises quickly even 250 ft from one end of our 40 acres to the other. Although you’ll need a vehicle to get here, once here you’ll want a mountain bike, hiking boots and snowshoes! Self-Serve Continental breakfast offered.
