To reserve, send a booking request for Monday and Tuesday ONLY and your host will add the adjusted Wednesday upon confirmation!** The Area Treat yourself to a perfectly convenient location on Hwy 75 Alternate, only 2 miles from Downtown Helen. Day tripping? Perfect. Avoid the Helen traffic with easy access to back-roads leading to Helen, Cleveland, Dahlonega, Blairsville, & Sautee-Nacoochee. We're close to Richard Russell Scenic Byway (takes you to Blairsville/Blue Ridge) Hwy 75 (to Hiawassee/North Carolina) and less than 15 minutes from two access points to the famous Appalachian Trail. Hiking and nature are literally at your doorstep with loads of parks and hiking trails for all skill levels in the immediate vicinity. After your hike or waterfall picnic, enjoy a glass of wine at one of the 14 wineries (and one brewery!) located within a 20 minute drive of the property. Or just stay in and enjoy the complimentary bottle of wine (must be over 21) we include with your stay! Your hosts are locals, live nearby, and have a great working knowledge of the area. We're happy to help with recommendations and insider tips to make your trip the best it can be. Your interaction with us is totally optional as you’ll have a passcode door and you can come and go as you please. Guest access Guests have access to the semi circular driveway in the front of the house, the private patio with Adirondack chairs, the kitchenette, the bedroom, and the en suite bathroom Other things to note There is a small lip on the front porch entrance that can make accessibility with a wheelchair difficult. The bathtub is not handicap accessible, as it has a ledge over 24”. The driveway is close to a row of pine trees, and the roots make the driveway a little bumpy. Please reach out to us if you are hauling a car trailer, super large vehicle, or have an especially low clearance vehicle and have any concerns. The unit is a private apartment with its own entrance and driveway in our little house-turned-inn. Kind of like staying in a townhouse, but no shared walls (we’ve separated them) and more private than a hotel or bed and breakfast. There may be guests staying in the separate units. The kitchenette is a step above a hotel room and features a mini fridge, a toaster oven, a microwave, a Keurig and pods, and an electric kettle. We provide plates and cutlery, glasses and mugs, and have a Brita pitcher for your convenience! Our suite sleeps two. We are not suitable for pets, children, or additional guests. Thanks for respecting our home! The bathtub is deep and luxurious. If you have mobility issues we may not be able to good fit as it is a larger step into the tub. The thermostat is not zoned, so there isn’t physical access from your unit, but it is an easy and instant adjustment through the app. We are happy to set it to your preferred temperature prior to and at any point during your stay! We also provide a variety of light and heavy blankets, a space heater, and fans to help fine tune your comfort. If you’re hitting the town, please note that there are fewer Uber and Lyfts in the area than the city. Taxis are abundant, however, and our proximity to Helen is a great thing! Please notify host of any damage as soon as possible.
