Frishøjgaard, Kornloftet, the unique vacation home

Welcome to "Kornloftet", a beautiful 100 m2 home on 2 floors built in the old barn at Frishøjgaard. Located 400 meters from the sea and furnished with care and respect for the original atmosphere, this is a very special holiday home. This is the place for the adult audience who really wants peace, quality time in beautiful surroundings and beautiful nature with lovely walking and cycling. Here there is silence and no street lights that disturb the night sky! There is a private, secluded garden and 2 terraces with various garden furniture. The space Our goal with this completely unique home in the over 100-year-old barn is to create an exquisite sanctuary for the adult audience, an oasis of peace from the many demands of a hectic everyday life. Here are many original details, old wooden floors, free-standing rafters, old gable windows, genuine carpets and original art on the walls. The home has been renovated to a high quality in a very gentle way to preserve the charm and spirit of the place. From the hallway, both on the ground floor and on the 1st floor, there is a full view through large glazed windows into the old barn where the farm's machines and roughage are stored. A handmade staircase in old country style leads up to the cozy, bright rooms and a new functional kitchen with dining area. In one room, there are 2 comfortable sofa groups, TV with Chromecast and internet radio and a sleeping area with a double bed. From the balcony door, you have a view of the sea through the alley of very old trees and sit comfortably in front of the French balcony, almost up in the trees "with the birds". Just the place to enjoy the meal or a glass of wine! The second bedroom overlooks the courtyard with barns in half-timbering, the beautifully landscaped riding track and a small fruit orchard. Here, the double bed can be divided into 2 single beds if desired. In the beautiful French country-style bathroom on the ground floor, there is plenty of space, heat in the floor and everything that belongs to towels, bathrobes and hygiene items. The adjoining garden is completely undisturbed and has both garden furniture and a grill. In addition to the garden, there are 2 terraces for the home, one south-facing with shelter walls, garden furniture and views of the water and one west-facing with a bench and small tables where the afternoon and evening sun can be enjoyed. There is a free parking space for 2 cars. The home is furnished in an over 100-year-old existing building, unfortunately, it has not been possible to furnish it for smaller children and babies, and we therefore cannot accommodate families with smaller children. Of course, we welcome families with children from 12 years old! Guest access Our lovely vacation home, including garden, terraces and parking, is completely private for our guests. Access to the home is booked at the basic price for 1-2 guests, for the 3rd and 4th guest a supplement of DKK 75 per guest per night is paid. The home does not have a charger for electric cars, but in the middle of the island, Fejø Kro has an electric car charger. Other things to note As the home is built in an old existing building, it has not been logistically possible to furnish it for children under 12 years or babies and we therefore unfortunately cannot receive families with smaller children. Not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to stairs. We have placed great emphasis on making the home super attractive for adults with delicious details and great comfort. We have horses and cats on the farm and our sweet, very social cats can occasionally pass by in the outdoor areas. If you are allergic to cats, feel free to shoo them away!
