Come relax in this cozy cottage, less than a mile from Lake Michigan and the Bay View restaurant/bar scene. Let your creativity flow at the writing desk, sleep in late, or wake early to sip coffee in the sunlit kitchen. We call it The Cottage because, although near the bustle of thriving Bay View, the space evokes quietness and renewal through its beachy palette of green, blue, and sand tones. We're happy to host both short-term and long-term guests. We hope you enjoy the space as much as we do! The space The Cottage is located in a dreamy residential neighborhood and is a single-family home. You will be the only guests in the space. The main floor consists of the living and sleeping areas (two bedrooms, each with a queen bed) and the one full bathroom. There is a washer and dryer in the basement that you are welcome to use (laundry detergent provided). There is one entrance in the front and one at the side, both of which can be unlocked by the key provided to you in the lockbox on the front door. Please note: there are stairs at both entrances. The small, unfenced backyard is available for you to play and relax in. It's near to the neighbors, so please do observe quiet hours between 9pm and 8am if out in the yard. There is a little veggie garden and you’re welcome to snip herbs for your cocktail (Mint Mojito anyone?). Guest access -Driving is the easiest way to get around in the Milwaukee area if going any distance. Street parking is readily available at the cottage--see the Milwaukee overnight parking rules. The cottage does have a garage that is available for a fee to long-term guests. -There are multiple public bus stops about a 2-minute walk from the cottage (at the intersection of Oklahoma Ave/Kinnickinnic Ave). -Looking to cycle? There is quick access to the bike trail that runs north and south along the Lake Michigan green space. -Many Bayview restaurants and bars are within walking distance (and certainly biking distance) from the cottage. -As of summer 2021, an Uber ride from the cottage to either the airport or Summerfest grounds will take you less than 10 minutes and run you about $15-20 depending on the time of day. Other things to note 📺: Available TV channels to enjoy include Disney, Hulu, ESPN, and Roku. You can watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, or AppleTV by signing in with your own account if you have one. 🥣 🧼 🧽: There’s no dishwasher (except for you ;) Apologies for the Dad Joke).
