LE CLOS DE LA FONTAINE DE L'ORME

The cottage is located in the village, quiet, 10 minutes drive from Thoiry Zoo and 20 minutes by the D 307 from the Palace of Versailles. Two train stations, Mareil-sur-Mauldre 5 minutes' drive away and Plaisir 15 minutes' drive away, provide easy access to Paris by train (Paris Montparnasse line) with free parking all day. The space the cottage is adjacent to the main house with independent outdoor access (see photos). The ground floor opens onto the kitchen (traditional oven, induction hob, microwave, silent dishwasher, etc.) and as an extension the living/dining room (sofa bed and TV). On the 1st floor you have access to a bedroom/mezzanine with a double bed (160 x 190) and a bathroom with washing machine and dryer) and finally the separate toilet. Above, an attic room has 2 beds (90 x 190), accessible by a small Japanese-style staircase. It can be occupied by adults (note maximum height in the middle 1.80 m) or by children who are aware of the void (no barrier or separation between the attic room and the mezzanine room (see photo). For 2 people you can choose to occupy either the large bed or the 2 small beds: in this case it is without extra charge. However, if 2 people choose to occupy both the queen size bed and 1 small bed, you will have to pay an additional €30 per week. Housekeeping fees are included. However, guests will need to leave the bathrooms clean, dishes tidy, and garbage cans emptied. In principle I accept dogs but you have to make the request beforehand because I myself have 2 dogs and a cat so yours MUST be sociable and perfectly CLEAN. If your dog doesn't like cats, that's no problem, my cat lives mostly in the house. However, parental vigilance is necessary and its access is not suitable for children under 5 years old OR who are not aware of the void.
