The Garden Flat

The property is in Chite, a small village in the Lecrin Valley surrounded by orange and olive groves and overlooking Beznar lake. Guests are within walking distance of shops and services, and 5 minutes by car from the A44 motorway, which takes you north to Granada and south to the Costa Tropical beaches at Salobrena, with the city and coast only 25 minutes away. The Alpujarran villages and the Sierra Nevada mountains for walking and skiing are also within easy reach, as are Granada airport (40 min), Malaga (1 hr 20 min) and Almeria airport (1 hr 30 min). The space Guests have plenty of parking immediately beside the house. Guest access Guests have access to the main garden and garden furniture. The garden is a shared space, as it may be used for weeding and watering for a few hours a day, but guests can use it whenever they want. It is well tended, with a lawn, vegetable garden, fruit trees, and many shrubs and flowers, and there is plenty of space for boisterous games in the adjacent fields. Please note that the Airbnb map is wrong: on their map the property is at the end of Calle Chite. During your stay We are retired and enjoy introducing guests to the local area through maps and guided walks, with plenty of advance warning. We will also introduce guests to the garden, where there are many herbs, flowers and fruits that guests are welcome to pick. Other things to note Guests wishing to visit the Alhambra should book tickets well in advance on the official website; adult tickets are around €14, with guided tours costing more. We live above the property, so if guests forget anything or need help, we are usually there to assist. All shops are closed on Sundays, so guests arriving by plane late on Saturday or on Sunday can send us a shopping list a few days in advance. Walking routes are available on many websites, and we recommend treksierranevada. Most of these walks are less than 45 minutes from here and are spectacular in their own ways. It is worth colour printing the maps and descriptions for any walks guests want to do. We can also recommend local walks directly from the house or from nearby villages, and we have guide books.
