Quiet garden flat in the beautiful Valle Lecrin

Chite is a small village in the Lecrin valley surrounded by orange and olive groves, overlooking a large lake. It is within walking distance of shops and services and 5 minutes by car to the A44 motorway which takes you north to Granada and south to the costa tropical beaches at Salobrena, both only 25 minutes away. The Alpujarran villages and the Sierra Nevada mountains for walks/skiing are within easy reach, also Granada airport [40 min] and Malaga [1 hr 20min], Almeria airport[1 hr 30min]. The space The flat can be booked for up to 5 people. All rooms in The Garden Flat open directly onto both a covered patio and the garden. They are heated by a pellet stove with radiators. It is warm in winter but cool in summer. This is a tranquil space with a fishpond in the covered patio and views into the garden from all rooms. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Bedroom 2, the Blue Room, has a single bed in addition to a double bed and an ensuite shower room. Bedroom 1, the Red Room has a double bed and a spacious bathroom with bath and bidet [the single bed can be moved into this room if necessary] The kitchen is equipped for self catering with dining indoors or outdoors. The indoor sitting area has a DVD player and TV with bbc iplayer and UK Netflix and an with internet connection. There is plenty of parking immediately beside the house. Guest access The apartment is reached by steps from the street or by a path through the garden. All the rooms have lockable doors and open into a large covered area. This is a good shady place to relax should it be raining or hot. The open plan sitting/ kitchen/ dining room exclusively for your use can be reached from the covered patio but also opens directly into a small walled garden with pizza oven/BBQ and plunge pool primarily for guest use. The main garden is well tended with a lawn, vegetable garden, fruit trees and many shrubs and flowers. I may be working there for a few hours a day but you can use it whenever you want and for boisterous games there is plenty of space to kick a football around in the adjacent fields. The flat has a laundry area off the covered patio. Please note that the Airbnb map is wrong. On their map we are at the end of Calle Chite. Other things to note We provides towels, sheets etc. If you wish to visit the Alhambra you should book well in advance. Adult tickets are around €14 euros, more it you want a guided tour. We live above the flat so if there are things you have forgotten or need we are usually there to help. All shops are closed on Sundays. If you arrive by plane on a Sunday send us a shopping list a few days before you arrive. Walking routes are available on many web sites. I recommend treksierranevada. Most of these walks are less than 45 min from here and are all spectacular in their own ways. It would be worth colour printing the maps and descriptions for any that you want to do. I can recommend local walks directly from the house or from nearby villages. We have guide books. We don’t have air conditioning but do provide fans. The plunge pool is 180x150 cm and 150cm deep with a seat. It is fun for cooling off in July and Aug. Non swimmers would need flotation devices.
