At Home in Whitford ☺️

Whether you're just passing through, or a frequent guest, Whitford house is your new home away from home. Super clean! Soft, luxurious linens! Charming decor! Awesome location! 2 bedrooms, sleep 6 apartment with 2 queens & 1 full bed. Great kitchen. We’re just off of beautiful Lake Alice, in the heart of vintage Fergus Falls. 5 min walk or drive to everything! What did our last guests say when they walked in the front door? "Oh my, this is wonderful!" We know you'll agree. Welcome home. The space Such a great place to rest and relax, this late 1890's home with all of it's character sits in a lovely neighborhood. It's all yours - 6 sleep comfortably on queen beds in the 2 bedrooms, plus a full size, premium 6” tri-fold memory foam floor mattress for the living room (it’s very nice!). We have a fully stocked kitchen, a squeaky clean bathroom, cozy fireplace, wifi & smart tv with apps for Netflix, Hulu, & Amazon Video, etc., a DVD player & selection of movies, comfy sofa and recliner, games and books, toys, high chair & a pack n play for kiddos, a kennel for your furry friend, a charcoal grill w utensils for grilling, and a great deck & fire~pit out back for relaxing. Simple breakfast of a fruit and nut granola bar and coffee, tea, and cream are provided for each guest’s first morning with us. We're just off of beautiful Lake Alice, (you can see it from our house, we're just across the street), and the sunrise & sunset walks on the dedicated walking/workout trail are wonderful! You'll meet lots of locals - it's a town favorite. There’s even a warming house and winter ice skating! It’s a short 5 minute walk downtown to the vintage, yet vibrant, old town Fergus Falls. We love the coffee shops & restaurants, the River Walk, Farmer’s Market, unique shops, children’s museum, bookstores, antiques, pubs, art, clothing stores, gifts and groceries. We're just 5 minutes off the freeway, and close to everything. 2 beautiful State Parks are within 30 minutes (Maplewood and Glendalough), and our town has a public golf course and swimming beach on Pebble Lake. We're happy to host business travelers (we're business ready), sightseers, birders, hikers and bikers (Fergus Falls is on the Central Lakes Bike Trail), families with kiddos, frequent guests, or those just passing through. We've thought of everything to make your stay as restful and comfortable as possible. Welcome to Whitford!🏡 Guest access Make yourself at home - it's ALL YOURS! You have the whole unit- 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room, and the deck & yard out back. You may run into the upper unit tenants out back, because we share the deck and grill, but that’s pretty rare (we let them use our grill and fire pit every so often) but if you do, they are very nice! 🙂 Other things to note 3 important things! 1) We have a “peek” view of Lake Alice, as we are “kiddie-corner” across the street. It’s not lakeside property, but we are super close for walks around this lovely lake. It’s a town favorite! 2) Our neighbor will sometimes smoke on his back patio, and when winds are just right, we can get faint wafts of it onto our property. 99% of guests have no issues with it, but if you are particularly sensitive or have asthma, we want you to know there’s a possibility of it. We do have an air purifier that works well for inside the house. 3) This apartment is the main floor of a duplex house, so there are other Airbnb guests above you, but we've not had any complaints about sound yet.
