Bridgetown Bungalow: The perfect cozy getaway!

Come retreat from the city in this gorgeous studio designed with a modern art deco flair and rustic cabin comfort. The cozy interior features a vaulted ceiling with original timber beams, craftsman trim, reclaimed wood accents, loft with a library ladder, a heated bathroom floor and walk-in shower. The full kitchen provides all the amenities you'll need for cooking & baking including basics like pots, pans, utensils, spices, oils, small appliances and several coffee-making options. The space We care deeply about your health and safety and take extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations. We’ve also thought of everything you'll need during your stay, from recommendations to local cafes and bars with umbrellas to use while walking to them, from an ironing board & iron to extra phone chargers. Since the Bungalow is a shoes-off space, we provide a variety of slippers in all sizes to keep your feet cozy! You'll find lots of storage space as well as portable luggage racks, plenty of outlets, charger stations, and WiFi TV. You can adjust the thermostat with a remote, and portable fans are also available to keep you comfortable. If you have a baby in your group, don't worry about toting a bulky portable crib! We've got one with clean sheets & blankets for your use, upon request. While laundry machines aren't available inside the bungalow, access to the private laundry room is just outside the bungalow's door & we'll be happy to let you run a load or two if needed - just ask! The bungalow is within an enclosed yard, completely surrounded by a gated fence, so kids & pets are safe to roam (conscientious clean-up after pets is appreciated). A beautiful covered patio nestled into a garden oasis is outside the bungalow's door and is available for guest use, with supplies for the fire pit provided by the hosts upon request. Guest access To access the bungalow, guests enter the gated side yard in front of the main house & follow the sidewalk alongside it to the very back of the yard, where the bungalow is nestled. There is a lovely furnished covered garden patio right outside the bungalow’s door that you’re welcome to use! It’s the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or to unwind with a glass of wine after a long day out exploring. While we may pop out & say hello if we see you outside, we value your privacy & will give you space. There is also a fire pit and a chiminea fireplace that you can request to use & we'll make sure you have everything you need. Our family also uses the patio & yard, so when the weather’s nice, you may see Andrew & I or our kids outside in the garden or playing in the yard. We also love hosting gatherings with friends on our patio, but will always inform guests in advance when large gatherings like these are happening. But please don’t be shy - we love saying hi and sharing the patio & yard space with guests is one of our favorite things! The patio can also be reserved by guests for small private events or gatherings. Please request in advance & let us know how many people you're expecting. We're happy to provide additional tables, chairs, tablecloths & patio dishes along with other small event amenities for an additional fee. If you think you'll want to use the propane patio heater, there is a small fee to cover the cost of the propane, dependent on how long you'll be using it. Other things to note PET POLICY: The Bridgetown Bungalow is pet-friendly! Please inform us in advance if you're bringing a furry friend so we know how to prepare. Thank you! There is an additional one-time $45 cleaning fee that we charge for pets. When you specify on the reservation that you’ll be bringing your pet/s, the additional pet fee will be automatically added to your total charge. While small-medium sized pets will fit most comfortably with you in the bungalow, we’re happy to host pets of all sizes. The bungalow’s entrance is within a fully enclosed gated yard, so dogs are safe to roam off leash. We just ask that you are conscientious about pets not trampling the garden beds & about waste clean-up in the yard - thank you! There is a small bin outside the bungalow (near the decorative bungalow bike) where pet waste can be discarded, along with a poop scoop that you're welcome to use. When you leave the bungalow, we ask that you either take your pet or crate them if they need to stay behind. Thank you! Our neighborhood is also wonderful for dog-walking, and there are several fantastic dog parks where dogs can run off leash within 1-2 miles from our home. For longer dog walks in gorgeous areas, we highly recommend walking south to the popular Mt. Tabor (where there is also a huge off-leash dog park) for a stroll through beautiful wooded paved trails with great views of the city, or walking north & west around the perimeter of the Rose City golf course and up into the beautiful Rose City park neighborhood nestled on the ridge just above it. We also have 2 doodles, but they don’t use the bungalow’s fenced yard. While Juniper & Ruby love other people & dogs, our goal as your host is to give your pet/s priority outside. To do that, Juni & Ruby exclusively use the other side yard for their time outside, so you’ll only see (or hear!) them through the windows when you’re in the yard. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any concerns or questions! Our 3 teenagers (school ages: middle - HS) also love dogs & are very good with them! If our kids happen to be out in the yard at the same time as your dog, they’d love to say hi if your pup is comfortable with that. Please let us know if you or your dog are not comfortable around other people & we will do our best to keep the kids out of the yard when your dog is outside. Thank you! We recognize that accidents can happen with pets & ask that you let us know if you discover that your pet damaged or stained something in the bungalow. Because we don’t have an additional fee to cover potential pet damage, we trust guests will take responsibility for discussing any damage with us, & will be willing to cover or contribute to the costs of pet-related damage or stains.
