"L'Antico Metato" house in the woods

Small stone ruin restored in the shade of the woods, a corner of paradise suspended between Tuscany and Umbria, ideal for relaxing and experiencing atmospheres of the past. It is located near the pretty Medieval village of Pierle, dominated by an 11th century castle. Formerly used as a chestnut dryer (metato), the small ruin has been renovated while preserving the original characteristics and with an inspiration given by the ancient Tuscan farmhouses typical of the area. The space The 65 sqm house is located in a small village consisting of 3 houses, in the shade of the woods and near a quiet dirt road. It is reached by driving 1 km of dirt road. At the back of the house is the private garden with a small table and deckchairs where you can relax in contact with nature. Internally, it is composed on the ground floor of: - Kitchen equipped with oven, 4-burner stove, refrigerator, freezer, kettle, toaster, espresso machine, cutlery and dishes; - Living room; - Bathroom with shower. From the living area you go up to the second floor with a spiral staircase (but it can also be accessed comfortably from the outside) where you will find: - Main double bedroom; - Small attic with a single bed; - Half-bath. The house also includes a hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. Guest access Guests will have the entire house and its outdoor space at their disposal. Other things to note The only additional cost is the tourist tax of the Municipality of Cortona: €2.00 per person per night for a maximum of 4 nights. Children under 12 are exempt from payment.
