Come relax and enjoy the picturesque view and full-on nature. The space The house is perched on a hill among the trees overlooking Mountain Lake in Smallwood. Stone stairs from the drive wind down to the yard and front door. The first floor consists of the full kitchen, dining room, half bath and living room with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the lake. Both the kitchen and bathroom have radiant heated flooring. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking necessities and stainless appliances including a convection oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The living room opens onto the deck that faces west and is the best spot to take in the sun setting over the lake. At the moment, I think we are the only house in Smallwood that has a true EV charging station. It's a 240 volt charger at the top of the stone stairs at the parking spot. The real centerpiece of the first floor is the staircase made of reclaimed wood. All of the trim within the house is reclaimed lumber from the original summer cottage on the property. Upstairs is the full bathroom also with radiant heated flooring and a skylight, two large bedrooms, and laundry room . Each bedroom has a queen sized bed and space to sneak away with a good book or tablet. This is the last house on a dead end road so there is zero traffic. The property is heavily wooded and very quiet. The abundant trees make for excellent bird watching. We have spotted eagles, three species of wood peckers, ducks, geese, and bats at dusk (not technically birds). The house is best for two couples, but there is an inflatable queen mattress that will fit in the sitting area of the master bedroom. The large sectional will also accommodate additional guests if necessary. All sheets towels, blankets, and pillows, are provided as well as a HE washer and dryer. The lake in front of our house is a private lake and we don't have access. There are several pristine lakes nearby for swimming and boating that honestly are much nicer. The lake in front of the house is gorgeous for watching sunsets from our deck, just don't touch the lake because the owners are curmudgeons. Guest access Guests have full access to the house.
